Great course and beautiful views. It has a nice bar at the clubhouse, with good changing facilities

Nice course needs some work on drainage.
Nice course of which i like playing but very wet today.6 temp greens and 1 winter tee but yet still no sign of reducing the fee for playing unlike other courses not run by SIV???(Round played: Nov 2017 - Score: 98 Handicap: 26.6)

Happy with greens. Some fairways rough could do with mowing a bit to enable to find balls better. Otherwise good to play today

We played on a Thursday and apparently the seniors play every Tuesday and Thursday so after the 5th hole we was queuing all the way round. Very frustrating and with a bit of common sense easily avoidable.
The green keeper seemed to follow us around so I recommend taking ear plugs and lots of deep breaths

Great course with great views. I would say it is a course of two halves, on one side of a lane the holes are all on a hillside and so slope quite a lot on the other side of the lane the holes are mostly on the level, several streams run through this course waiting to catch you out. On the whole a trickier course than the par suggests.

Due to the adverse weather there are 10 temporary greens(some of which are terrible) and very boggy in areas even on the fairways.
Very heavy underfoot and therefore hard to score well at the moment

Beauchief is a very picturesque course laid out on a steep wooded hillside with lots of streams. There is therefore an over abundance of lateral water (and 1 lake) to negotiate. Together with fairly narrow fairways and out of bounds pressing in the fairways are not forgiving and neither is the rough. Flat lies are few and on some holes you need power to reach the short grass from the tee. As a beginner I find this course too demanding and tiring but It's easy to see why good golfers like it.

Car park & clubhouse/catering good, the course is challenging & has stunning views of Derbyshire , & Beauchief Abbey which is within the course. however the greens & tees are not always well kept , & the rough is often far too long, could be a glorious course with a bit more TLC
