I think it’s the best council course in Aberdeen and the staff in the clubhouse is really friendly aswell

Different Challenge Every Day
Balnagask is a great course, which provides a different challenge every day, depending on the weather.Always in good condition, with greens in good condition.

Worth A Visit for the views aone
First of all thanks to the green keepers and all the staff who do a fantastic job and are all friendly and helpful. The greens are in tip top condition as are the fairways.It's a hilly course with several blind holes to make life more difficult, but it does have nice wide fairways. The wind is usually a challenge given the proximty to the sea, but the payback is generally a dry course that is not over busy.
There are some fantastic views all around the course. You can check progress on the new harbour extension from the 10th tee and enjoy arguably the best view on the course from the 18th tee where you can look our over tha harbour, the beach, the city and on on out to Deeside.
Well woth a visit.

Course was excellent and well kept. Today was windy so it made the course a lot harder to keep control of the ball flight.

Links Golf at Low Prices
For ?15 a real opportunity to play a true Links course. Be prepared for a lesser standard of bunker and to an extent green, but perfectly playable and value for money. Council operated but reasonably well maintained, the selection of holes will compensate for the shortcomingsReviewer Rating

Hilly but with great sea views
Balnagask is a municipal golf course in Aberdeen at the mouth of the River Dee and situated overlooking the harbour, the sea front and the sea. I haven't played this course much in the past but it is starting to become a favourite with me.The course is very hilly, with undulating fairways which leads to a lot of blind shots however there are lots of directional marker poles. The course is well looked after and the fairways and greens are in excellent condition. The course is not too long but still has some challenging holes, my favourite being the par 5 tenth.
The thing I like most is that it is always seems easy to get a round, just turn up and tee off ! Possibly this is because a lot of people may be put off by the challenging nature of the hills and you certainly need to e fit to get yourself round.
All in all a very good course with great views.
