In calm conditions, the course plays short, but if you miss the fairway you are looking at a lost ball. You can get round using a 3iron off most tees as the only two par fives come at 17th and 18th, and apart from the 15th, all of the par 4\'s are under 400 yards.\\The gorse/heather is worse than anything the USGA comes up with and the greens are very fast. The greens on holes 8 to 11 were brown with virtually no grass. Pick of the holes were the 2nd, 3rd and 8th.\\Watch out for the walkers and their dogs, as well as crossing the main road. I would recommend playing the course but take plenty of golf balls!

Decent enough test of a course, especially in the wind but by no means impossible. As it's a moorland course there are no trees but if you stray from the fairways theres loads of heather, which can mean a lost ball quite easily as it is thick. Greens although quite bare were pretty slow and patchy in areas, but not too bad. It's not the longest but with the wind has some testing holes. A couple of nice par 3's and a few decent driving holes too. It makes a change from just playing the same type of parkland course and makes you play different types of shot to get it around. At £12:50 on a Sunday morning its definitely worth a hit. Shot 79 / 9 over. HCP = 9.

Very challenging moorland course with lots of heather waiting to swallow your ball if you miss the fairway so make sure you have plenty of spare balls available just in case! Greens were kept in excellent condition

We played Baildon as a 3 ball on a Sunday morning at 10am for £12.50pp (more than reasonable!). Thoroughly enjoyable round, extremely challenging! Course punishes you if you don't hit the ball straight, wind huge factor on each hole played. Greens in excellent condition.

played on a sunny afternoon with a fair breeze. course seemed in decent nick, some greens better than others. found a deal on tee off times and it made it a cheap afternoon out. looking forward to playing again.

I play this course regularly and for the price it has to be the best course in Yorkshire. Fantastic greens regardless of the weather, and some really interesting holes, where the driver is not always required. Is quite a tough course, and the rough can be a bit savage, and when the wind blows can make some holes near impossible. But is a great golf challenge

Played here on 20th Aug 2012, misty and drizzlt day but that didnt stop our enjoyment of this lovely, interesting well looked after course. Pro shop were very helpful, the tees fairways and greens were all in great condition and some very interesting holes. As others have said, you have got to be straight off the tee and if you see your ball go into the Heather or even the semi rough and you think, Oh I will find that, still take a provisional off the tee because chances are you wont find it and it saves a trek back to the tee. Would definitely play here again and rwally enjoyed it.

Played on a foggy and damp Tuesday.
Condition of course was very good and the greens were lovely condition. It drains very well ! Very exposed with little or no shelter but fantastic views (when the low cloud lifted) Great Value and no mats or temporarys in play !
