And £30 for a buggy as course pathways very wet with massive puddles
The greens were In very good condition but tee boxes very poor but obviously winter tees so expect that but as for the 14th hole which I nearly broke my ankle on its a temporary platform which is very worn out and on such a slant its a joke
The club house and facilities very dated
I feel that for the price it was not up to scratch winter conditions but summer prices far better courses for the money

Mid winter blues
Upon arrival we were handed paper scorecards !!Having played for just over 3 years I find this is one of the worst I have played.
Course looked tired and in need of updating.
Tees would not look out of place in cow field, shocking
Greens were very poor
We did play here as alotnof courses were closed so I was expecting the course to be worn but not as bad as it was.

Slow progress under new owners
This was the first time I?d visited since the new owners took over earlier in the year. Slight improvement on the greens was noticeable but the fairways and first cut was 80% mud 20% grass after a dry week of weather leading up to the round I found the conditions particularly boggy. A couple of noticeable changes that have been made were the removal of trees on the 15th hole and a lot of the ditches have been cleared out of overgrowth to allow the water to flow abit better. Hopefully in spring/summer the course will be in better shape but I wasn't overly impressed. 1 ball in front of us wasn't being let through by a 4 ball in front of him either which was annoying and made for a long round!Reviewer Rating

It truelly is a shame that this course has no proper green keeper or regular maintenance.
It is a practice knock and that is it.It's not a hard course but the things mentioned make it hard, you cannot putt well on these greens.
Sorry to be honest.

Ansty GC, needs work and serious investment
Fancied a round after work while in Coventry area, sounded out Ansty GC and they said it would be no problem to get a round. Arrived and went to pro-shop. Think I was met by the pro, who, at first was pleasant enough, but then after I'd paid, his demeanor changed and he became a little on the rude side. Wasn't impressed. There is a medium sized putting green outside the pro-shop with driving range just beyond this, so pretty decent off-course facilities. Anyway, went to the 1st tee and off I set. Now, I'm not sure if the course is lacking in investment, but there needs to be some serious work done here. The tee-boxes and fairways need some serious work on them, but it was the greens that were a massive disappointment. It looked like they had been patched up, just like a patchwork quilt. Putting was near on impossible. Understandably the bunkers have had no work done on them, and a lot of them had weeds and grass growing in them. The course didn't look like it had been watered, as it was very bare and dry in a lot of places. I did enjoy my round in the late afternoon April sunshine and the locals I met on my way round were friendly. There are some good holes at Ansty, with the 7th and 9th on the front 9, good holes. The back 9 is the better of the 2 loops of 9, with the par-3 10th with water in front, to the side and behind the green, the par-4 11th, with a wide fairway, but water in front of the green and the long par-4 12th is a great test of driver and fairway wood to reach a wicked sloping green. Probably the best hole on the course. The 14th is a short par-4 that is a 90 degree dogleg that forces a 3 wood off the tee through narrow trees. The 15th is a par-4 with trees about 150 yards from the tee, to go over or if your lucky, through them to a wide-ish fairway with an approach to a small green and the 17th a sweeping dogleg left downhill. ?18 for 18 holes after 4pm was good value, but the course was a disappointment. I'm afraid I won't be returning when I'm next in the area. A bit of a shame, as this could be a lovely course with a bit more TLC. I never saw anyone working on any tee, fairway or green which says a lot.Reviewer Rating

Lovely course ruined by condition
A lovely course well set out and some challenging holes only ruined by poor or non existent maintenance. The tees and most of the greens (or more accurately browns) were very dry and threadbare. In a lot of areas there was simply no grass at all. The rough was very long and punishing even if you just strayed off the so called fairway. Obviously the current situation with golf in general at the moment didn't help but looked like no work was done on the course for a while. Having said that the cost was good, the staff in the shop were friendly and the weather was glorious. Just a shame about the course.(Round played: May 2020 - Score: 102 Handicap: 17.4)

Good course, poor hospitality
The course is pretty simple and semi-challenging. Quite a few hilly holes as well as blind holes, hit and miss whether or not the markers are on the hills or not.Food from the club house has been poor on multiple occasions.
Driving range is in an awful state, mats need replacing as do the balls and the tees.
Push trolleys for hire are mostly broken and some of the buggies available are faulty.
As of 02/09/2017 the greens are under maintenance.

Course ok, hospitality poor
The course provides variation and has improved in its standard over the last year, although still room for improvement. The biggest problem I and my society (locals) have with the course is the hospitality. We tend to use online booking and as a group like to get to the course about 40mins before tee time, book in and then do your thing before start (practice, chill or eat). The owner (never a problem with other staff) told us to go away and come back closer to tee time, note nobody on course or in shop. This has happened more than once with members of our society, along with comments about food not available as it's not a resteraunt although advertised.
We have now took the course off our society list, a real shame as a customer focused owner could make a great course/experience out of the potential the course has to offer.
