Bizarre course layout
My second visit here and I still get lost in between the holes more Tee signs really wouldn't hurt, good course well kept. Easy place to find thumbs-up.Reviewer Rating

It was ok
Fairways were OK, Greens were very inconsistent and require some remedial work. Bunkers also need a bit of work. The course is not a technical course and could do with some tweaks in order to make it more challenging. I fear that the course maybe suffering with a lack of investment. However the most important thing of any club is that the staff and members are very friendly and welcoming which was certainly the case at Abbey Park.Reviewer Rating

not good
Course really poorly looked after. Greens were a mess and bunkers may as well have been concrete!Reviewer Rating

whole course looking good
The greens have seen a massive recovery from the extensive Greenkeeper work done in the winter. a couple look a bit brown but they run true enough! The rough between some of the holes is really up and looks great, Some will hate it bit it looks lovely "And if you are that far off line you deserve to lose your ball!" :-)
Really like how the greenkeepers have enhanced some of the tees with white roped off areas and extra flower boxes on 1, 2, 6, 8, 17. Really adds to the look of the course.
I play twice a week for the last 10 years. It is a great match for many clubs and arguably better value.
2 tier driving driving range is better than you will see at most clubs -so no excuse not to be warmed up for the 100 yard walk to 1st tee.
The pros Rob, Drew and Dean will make you very welcome - Go play it!

Worth a visit
The course was looking nice and tidy as it's been cut well. The greens were ok but the bunkers were dreadful with some with hardly any sand. We were informed prior that they were trialling some new sand in some of the bunkers and hopefully they improve these. The course has a mix of hole lengths and hazards to test your skills. Driver is not always best option off the tee. Will be returning again .Reviewer Rating

Course has really flourished this summer
Always a great test of golf. Greenkeepers preparing to invest in improving the bunkers in September which will be an excellent improvement. Always a popular venue! As a member of 8+ years I do play 2-3 times a week.....love it
