Love this course

Never get bored playing The Abbey, every hole is so different, and no easy holes....there is something to catch you out on every hole. Take the par 5's all needs some precision driving so you have a good 2nd shot and not blocked out by a huge oak tree.
Course is in really nice condition. Greenkeepers are grrowing the grass around the fairway bunkers which is making i look really nice - but a b**tch if you end up in it instead of the and (bit like some of the courses in Lincolnshire like Forest Pines and Woodhal Spa but not as deep thank goodness!)

It's been really busy with golf breaks over September which says it all. Even bumped into some visitors from Royl Porthcawl who enjoyed it. Says it all.

An amazing Local Course.

This really is an amazing Course that sits almost in the middle of a housing Scheme. Easy enough to find if you use a Sat Nav. Once you enter the Car park and see the Course it really does look amazing. Not a bad walk if you sometimes struggle as only a couple of holes where you have an uphill walk. Some fantastic holes and they have just completed 3 new holes which are superb. Give it a try and you will NOT be disappointed.

Never tire of playing the Abbey

Proper test of golf! I enjoy it as it is not easy. No push over holes as there is danger everywhere. If you are visiting the Midlands - book a round. just 3 miles off M42.

The pictures on the website make the course look very good but in reality, we were disappointed with it. The course was wet in many places and lots of mud on the walkways, not sure what it will be like later in winter. Lots of water but not a lot in play. Rough was just a little too high, constantly searching for your ball when it was just off the fairway. Pace of play very slow, we ended up behind two groups of members who joined together to make a 5 ball!! Greens in good condition though, bunkers short of sand in the middle, ok around the edges. The course just felt a bit sad. Unusual layout with two longish walks between a housing estate. Did not use the clubhouse. May give it another try during summer.

Unusual layout

Unusual layout first green outside someone?s house , quick walk through the estate leads to next holes, still nice course would imagine it will struggle in the wet as some areas boggy and we hadn't had muchbrain

A must visit in the Midlands

Course in great condition, lots of societies - speaks volumes.

Love the online BRS booking system so you know how busy the course is in advance

Interesting holes, not driver off every tee. Greens a little slow compared to putting green. Good venue for corporate day.
