Wow factor vistas
Played here on a deal. Very pretty course where every bunker has a job. Island greens, huge in size and complicated to read. Lots of water and you need to plot way round. Amenities are good, range not so much. Surprisingly for fairly flat looking course, felt quite tired at end, although was carrying at aged 69.(Round played: Aug 2018 - Score: 94 Handicap: 19.3)

Worth a visit
First time I have played this course, and would definitely go back, as we only paid £35 for the round. The course was very good condition, and the greens the best I played all year. Just shame 8 could play the back 9 holes the same as the front 9.(Round played: May 2018 - Score: 100 Handicap: 23.6)

Nice course, great greens
Have wanted to play The Shire for some time and if I'm honest was slightly disappointed, not because I played poorly but maybe I was expecting more, we were playing in 25-30mph winds so didn't help, overall course layout was good with some interesting holes, would recommend playing but maybe not in November.Reviewer Rating

Seve's Course
Very nice course indeed. It is a tricky course, and the wind was a problem. You have to think about the shots you make. Made for a very interesting round of golf.Reviewer Rating

Straight hitters course with distance control required.
Practice chipping area and driving range for the pre match warm up!Course is very well laid out and the best part for me was the par 3s, all seemed to be island green with water on all but one, very tight driving course with real penial rough or gorse either side of the fairways.
Par 72 with 6 par 3s, 4s,5s very windy day so bit of a slog on some, greens in good condition
Changing rooms with showers and towels nice touch after a 90 mile drive.
£60 a round weekdays, £75 at weekends would I pay that? For me NO

A good test
This course can be a good test of golf, tight in places but you really have to think your way around. You may find more iron off tee's is the best option.
If the wind picks up it can be really difficult as its fairly open.
All in all you will enjoy it here. Course is in great condition. Great greens
