Has to be up there in my Top 5
Just gorgeous, some of the holes were a joy to play. The 18th is a monster par 3, but such a pleasure to play(Round played: Oct 2021 - Score: 98 Handicap: 24.1)

Terrible greens in September 2021
£25 for the open day, greens very average and course fairly bland, having watched the european tour play in the 90s this was a major let down.course was redesigned in 2008, some nice holes but a course is rated in it's putting surface and these are just terrible.

Course in fantastic condition, and well worth a visit. Nice to play it when course is not boggy.(Round played: Aug 2021 - Score: 90 Handicap: 18.6)

Good course But!
Played the old course on the 1st day, fantastic condition, especially the greens, they were like putting on snooker tables.But i thought the course was just a little bit bland with no hole really standing out or memorable apart from the 18th, We played the Mathern course the next day, and all our group thought it was the better course, it to was in fantastic condition, but in our opinion had more interesting holes on it.Hotel, food, and bar were ok, if not a little exspensive, but you expect that if you stay at these places.All in all 2 good courses...but!!Reviewer Rating

All round nice experience the whole site needs a few million quid spent on it to bring it into the 21st centaury .......the Mathern course is the better course in my opinion

Challenging Courses
Two lovely courses, The Mathern & The Old Course, both offering excellent golfing for golfers of all levels. There had been a good deal of rain the day or two before our trip, but The Mathern was absolutely sodden and waterlogged in parts. I was surprised it was actually open. Some very interesting holes, with blind dog legs, water hazards and long Par 5s. The course Marshall was a tad officious, and accused my two ball of not replacing divots on the fairway, which was absolutely not true. Overall, a very good experience, enjoyed The Old Course far more than The Mathern, but I suspect that would play exceptionally well if the weather conditions had been drier. Would definitely recommend, just replace your divots (or at least pretend to replace them, even when you didn't take one!)....Reviewer Rating

Lovely but Long.
Deffo a course where on most holes you can just take out your driver and let loose. If not a long hitter then almost certainly quite a few holes you are still looking at a 3 wood for your 2nd shot. Some lovely holes though and if you get the chance give it a pop. You will not be disappointed.(Round played: Jun 2019 - Score: 92 Handicap: 12.9)
