Turning it around
Having not played for 15 years, turned to this course. Loads of changes and all for the better, drainage appears to be addressed and ongoing works have turned this tired club into a modern adventure. After the substantial rain recently the far side of the course remained heavy with very little advantage if you try to run it through. Once this dries out over the next few weeks this will be a course to test you.Greens were fast and many difficult pin positions appear available with hollows and crowns.

Making progress
A lot of changes are being made and could see a lot of progress since last I played. Greens were in very good condition. However, a few little things continue to let it down. There a no bins on some holes and there was a lot of litter around.
The 'card' was just a printed piece of paper.
A lot of holes don't have 150 yd markers.
Play was very slow. 4 hour round for a 2 ball
No dress code. People playing in football boots!
Nobody replaces divots or repairs pitch marks.
Could be a nice course in a few years but they need to educate players on how to look after the course.

Course was in magnificent condition . Greens are fastest I’ve ever played on . Good to see a few small lakes appeared from nowhere and in very strategic positions . Bunker on back of 1st makes u play the hole short, pond on 2nd and3rd have made nothing holes magnificent . Will be joining next year when my membership runs out on a very expensive private course . Lockers would be nice . HIGHLY recommend.Reviewer Rating
