What the club says: At 6,275 yards, it is a mature parkland course with immaculate fairways and excellent greens. It is a challenging test of golf for low and high handicap players, alike. To score well you need to be straight and accurate.
From Stuart, the Club Pro, to the sausage and egg toastie, West Derby was fantastic. The course is fantastically maintained with lush, tree-lined fairways and freshly cut greens making it a pleasure to play. A flat and relatively short course, the small greens are well protected by strategically placed trees and bunkers, making your approach shots a real challenge. Well worth a visit.
We played on the Monday after the Open so were keen to play after being at Birkdale. It was our first time here and we were all pleasantly surprised as the photos on the website don't do the course justice. The front 9 is shorter making good use of the brooks. The back 9 is much longer and tree lined. The greens were in very good condition, a nice speed and true. Excellent value for money so we'll definitely be back.
Good well kept course, that give all handicaps a fair chance and test. Greeens in good condition.

First time I have played this course, greens in good condition, well presented and challenging course. Speed of play was very good with no hold ups.
(Round played: Jun 2017 - Score: 94 Handicap: 20.8)
Great course in great condition in a city urban setting
Lovely course. Th holes offer a nice challenge and the course is in great shape. Club house is a bit dated and the car park is very tight but overall a great day out.
