Abacus Sportswear Launches Sporty Spring/Summer 2015 Collection

Abacus Sportswear, has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2015 (SS15) collection, which focuses on classic sporty styles and colour palettes, injected with fun, vibrant summer hues.

In its latest range, the Swedish golf clothing brand that pioneered high-performance stretch waterproof fabrics has combined ‘casual chic’ activewear and traditional sporty colours, and added bright, contrasting colours with sporty details to deliver a fresh, clean-cut collection.

Navy enhances Abacus Sportswear’s trademark monochrome base, which is complemented by spring favourites – sky blue, begonia (pale pink) and dark cobalt – and new, bold summer hues of grasshopper (bright green) and red orange.

The abacus® SS15 collection draws inspiration from the Swedish brand’s involvement with The European Tour and The Ryder Cup, as well as it’s partnership with the European Solheim Cup team over the years, introducing sleek and stylish sportswear features, with graphic, panelling elements for the men’s line and contrasting star details for the ladies’ range.

“We have consciously created colour combos that will work well together in the shops – because not all trendy colours are best-selling – and styles that we believe will meet the different requirements of Abacus Sportswear’s diverse markets,” commented Chris Mattsson, Abacus Sportswear’s head designer.

“We’ve created complete outfits that embrace our Swedish design ethos of simplicity, functionality and high quality; combinations we believe will inspire our retailer network, and help realise added sales.

“Dark cobalt, for example, was a best-seller last season. In the new collection, we have teamed it with navy and white for a crisp summer look,” she added.

“Our staple black, white and red colour palette has been revisited to create elegant, low-key classics, designed to let men’s golfing personalities and abilities shine.”

Breathable, featherweight waterproofs, slick, lightweight quilted jackets with snug collars and sleeves, innovative UV cut sleeves and polos, as well as the signature abacus® stretch trousers, capris, skorts and shorts make up the new SS15 collection.
