adidas Reveals New Golf Apparel Inspired by 1990s Designs

Inspired by its designs from the 1990s, adidas has introduced EQT Golf, which is a versatile collection that brings together style and an athletic performance.

Golf continues to grow as a sport, standing at the threshold between timeless tradition and the evolving culture and lifestyle of today. Golfers, both old and new to the game, are looking for ways to differentiate themselves through fashion and style on the course. EQT Golf represents this convergence through technical apparel and footwear that’s built for the athlete with inspired style from the past.

Dylan Moore, Senior Creative Director of adidas Golf said: "When adidas Equipment was introduced in 1991, it redefined what sport and fashion could represent through the core focus on providing everything that was essential for the athlete. We were inspired by that philosophy and wanted to bring a forward-thinking approach to that original intention, but through a modern lens that reflects what golfers of today are looking for from us."

The EQT Golf capsule features a polo, reversible vest, quarter zip and short. Each are designed with a loose, athletic design construction utilising adidas’ latest material knit constructions. The range also includes a 5-panel hat in both black and white colourways. Each features the unmistakable colour palette of black, white, gray and Equipment Green that’s iconic to the adidas Equipment range.

adidas is also offering a modern interpretation to its EQT Golf shoe introduced in 1993. For the new EQT 93 Golf the outsole features a high traction TPU spikeless outsole, TORSION bar for added stability and a full-length BOOST midsole for enhanced cushioning and comfort. The upper features premium waterproof leather and a new last that blends classic shaping with modern performance characteristics and was designed in collaboration with Japanese expert designer and master shoemaker Toshiaki Omori.

Working with him on this project helped us reimagine the first EQT golf model through new materials, modern shaping and precision pattern work which only makes EQT 93 Golf that much more special."
