Cleveland Halo XL Irons Video Review

By: Golfshake Editor | Tue 02 Jul 2024

Cleveland Golf announced the launch of the all-new HALO XL Full-Face Irons earlier this year into the game improvement category. The irons have been designed to provide maximum forgiveness and built to help golfers where they need it most engineered to help with distance, spin consistency and improved feel.

Golfshake Equipment Expert Ryan Rastall recently got to test out these new hybrid irons at Howley Hall Golf Club in Leeds where he took them out on the course and tested indoors on his trackman.

The HALO XL Full-Face Irons design focuses on a Hybrid-Iron shape that redistributes weight away from the club's center. This results in a higher moment of inertia, providing enhanced forgiveness, a higher trajectory, and improved accuracy.

To maintain consistent accuracy, these irons feature a new two-groove alignment system that keeps the face square at address and centered behind the ball. The shorter groove aids in proper ball position alignment, while the longer groove helps align the clubhead to the target for improved aim.

The HALO XL Full-Face Irons also boast a versatile three-sole system designed to cater to different swing types. The long irons feature GlideRail technology for improved turf interaction, ensuring solid contact. The mid-range irons are equipped with Cleveland Golf's V-Shaped sole, which effortlessly cuts through the turf for cleaner contact. And in the short irons and wedges, the three-tiered sole maximises forgiveness on wedges, chips, and bunker shots.
