Lottie Woad What's In The Bag 2025

English golfing sensation Lottie Woad has once again made the extraordinary look routine as she ultimately strolled (with a little scare along the way) to victory at the Women's Scottish Open in her professional debut at Dundonald Links.

The 21-year-old, former number one amateur in the world, made headlines earlier in July when she won the KPMG Women's Irish Open - emphatically - by six strokes for her maiden LET triumph.

While still an amateur, Woad followed that success by contending for a major title at the Evian, where she finished third, having missed out on a playoff by just one stroke.

Turning professional after that result secured her LPGA Tour card, the former Augusta National Women's Amateur champion, then headed to Scotland's Ayrshire coast where she won by three shots after rounds of 67-65-67-68, establishing herself among the favourites for this week's upcoming AIG Women's Open at Royal Porthcawl.

Taking everything in her stride, Woad said: "It is a pretty good outcome, I guess!" Woad said. "I definitely wasn't expecting to win my first event, but knew I was playing well. I was just hoping to contend and played really solid today. It was pretty nice in the end, being able to lay up on the par five.

"I didn't know I'd got level [with Hyo Joo Kim]. I knew it would be quite tight, as I was only a couple under at the turn. When I had the two birdies early on the back nine I knew I probably had a bit of a lead by then.

"I don't get to play it too often - this is my first time playing links golf since the AIG Women's Open last year. I wasn't exactly sure how it would go but it went fine!"
