London Airlinks Golf Course to Open in May

By: | Wed 26 Apr 2023

A brand-new London-based golf club will open its doors for the first time in May 2023, with London Airlinks looking to arrive with a bang.

Inspired by Scotland’s famous coastal courses, Glendale Golf’s London Airlinks Golf Course is the result of a multi-million-pound investment.

The new facility was built on the site of Heston Aerodrome, which was London’s central airport before the opening of Heathrow back in 1946.

London Airlinks was designed with the vision to accommodate golfers of all abilities; dramatic dunes, water features and surreal vistas of London’s most iconic landmarks are on offer.

The facility is managed by Lex Leisure and it will also feature a 25-bay floodlit driving range with Toptracer Range technology installed.

This innovative inclusion guarantees an engaging, tech-driven experience, where users will be able to access real-time performance analysis.

London Airlinks’ driving range will be open to all customers - regardless of ability - and it will be in operation every day, including bank holidays.

Visitors will also be able to experience and enjoy time in the family-friendly clubhouse that will be serving food and drink on a daily basis.

Membership will not be needed to play the course or practice on the range, you simply need to ‘pay and play’ or sign up to a flexible Loyaltee membership plan.

Jon Dummett, Head of Golf at Glendale Golf, is ecstatic to see through the final stages after an exceptionally long process.

“After eight years in the making, we’re incredibly excited to be opening London Airlinks Golf Course and bringing the drama of links golf to the city - making it a must-visit golfing destination.

“Links courses can be notoriously tough to play, but with London Airlinks we’ve ensured the course design is suitable for golfers of all abilities, and we can’t wait to welcome newcomers, novices and golf enthusiasts of all levels to the new course and premium Toptracer Range next month.”

Using a combination of LIDAR (laser mapping) data and aerial photography, a virtual version of all 18 holes of the course has been created.
