Festive Breaks Popular at QHotels Golf Resorts

By: Golfshake Editor | Mon 11 Dec 2017

QHotels Golf Resorts - managed by Redefine|BDL Hotels (RBH) - have noted that the period between Christmas and New Year's Eve is becoming a popular time for people to book a short break.

With many offices now closing for this ‘Twixmas' period, it seems golfers in particular are taking advantage of the extra few days holiday to enjoy a break away from the occasionally stressful domestic festivities.

The 10 QHotels golf resorts, located across the UK, have seen a year-on-year increase in the number of ‘Twixmas' bookings for the past three years and, this year, the group has designed a specific package tailored to those who wish to unwind after all the turkey.

Andrew Cameron, the group golf operations manager, said: "Over the past few years we have noticed a steady rise in the number of people specifically fitting in a short break between Christmas and New Year, which allows them to enjoy all the normal festivities while relaxing inbetween.

"It would appear an increasing number of workplaces are closing their doors between the two holidays, enabling more people to enjoy a couple of nights away."

A two-night package, between December 27 and December 30, costs from just £158 per person, based on two sharing a room. It includes daily buffet breakfast, dinner and three rounds of golf.

As the largest golf resort operator in the UK, RBH manages 10 championship and tournament golf courses across the UK, including Slaley Hall - voted ‘Best Golf Hotel/Resort in the North of England' for the third successive year in the 2017 Today's Golfer Travel Awards and host of 18 European Tour and European Seniors Tour events - Belton Woods, Mottram Hall, and Forest Pines Hotel and Golf Resort.
