How To Get Out Of Pot Bunkers - Links Tips Series

Pot bunkers are synonymous with links golf and often you will hear golfers groan if their ball is gobbled up by one of the carefully positioned pot bunkers waiting to grab any shot not placed in the perfect position. 

Howley Hall GC Head Professionsal Ryan Rastall talks through some simple tips and set-up techniques to help you get up and out of pot bunkers more often. 

  • Set-up wise focus on taking the club away wide
  • Ensure you take a lot of sand to help get the ball up and in the air. 
  • If you need to get the ball up and down faster then simply change the takeaway so you are even wider on the outside to hit across to get the ball coming out higher and landing softer.
