Surrey Downs
Played here with a Society last Thursday.Course in poor to fair condition. Tee boxes badly scarred and uneven. Greens were shocking but had just been hollowtyned.
Bunkers were unplayable as rock hard and hadn’t seen a rake for ages.
Greens dry and hard and very undulating so precise shots impossible.
No towels provided as the facility was closed around 5/6pm.
Very disappointed. All the money spent on the clubhouse maybe?

Bad Greens
I played yesterday, I asked a member of staff once we finished if we paid full green fees, she said yes and that they dont offer a reduced green fee for dressed greens, she had a very bad attitude, its a shame, the course itself is a good test of golf, but the greens were shocking, another customer (not a friend) asked if food was available, this was about 2.30, she said the kitchen was shut at 2pm, which is the normal time the kitchen closed on a sunday apparantly, i found our whole experience dissapointing, if you are planning to play this course, wait at least till May and dont go there hungry, POOR MANAGEMENT.Reviewer Rating

Grass too long on the fairways
Played here earlier in the week for first time in years. The course itself & layout, plus views on what was a sunny clear day were all good, BUT our experience was let down by the fairways. The grass was the same length as probably what a third cut would be in summer, which made it a lot tougher than you should experience on a course like thisReviewer Rating

A bit average
Course has a lot of GUR areas. Bunkers out of play and some areas on greens.Apart from that not too bad. Greens rolled nicely apart from two that had been hollow tyned.
Fairways a bit sticky.

Decent little knock
A steady little course which can be quite demanding in places. Greens in great condition. pace of play was great with no hold ups at all. Bit hilly in places but that adds to the club selection when teeing off. Will definately play again.Reviewer Rating

nice course, greens need work
Some say this is an easy course. Off the whites in the wind this is a test. Greens not at their best but passable.(Round played: Jun 2019 - Score: 86 Handicap: 16.4)

Average course
Very nice location and upmarket arrival impression.Best to play in good weather as it is not really a winter course and was very boggy in places. Instead of charging £22.50 this should be reduced to reflect the conditions as it creates bad feeling. If I ran the course I would be clearing puddles from the course, not just collecting money!
A few good holes but I feel the course could have a lot more character via foliage given its location.
