first time
first time playing here and its a nice course.the greens weren't the best as they had been hollow tined and not filled properly so they were very bumpy which made putting tricky.
i will be returning in the summer

A bit average
Course has a lot of GUR areas. Bunkers out of play and some areas on greens.Apart from that not too bad. Greens rolled nicely apart from two that had been hollow tyned.
Fairways a bit sticky.

Would not rush back.
After the first few holes one formed the impression that this course was in poor condition. Scruffy tee boxes and greens that were the worst I gave played on this year.As mentioned in a previous review the rough was penal and once in you lost your ball.
Kitchen closed at 2.00pm. Seemed all round that there’s as a lack of staff and dare I say anyone managing the venue.

Nice course
Nice course. very quiet, very long rough, waist high in places, greens not good for several holes, then better(Round played: Aug 2021 - Score: 92 Handicap: 20.9)

Bunkers were all GUR and greens were like concrete. No been looked after. Shame because this course layout is good. Rough been allowed to grow which provides massive penalty for straying off line.

Nice course
We came back to Surrey Downs for another visit and weren't disappointed. The greens could always be better but under the circumstances they played well. Very scorable (41 point bandit territory) with some tricky holes with blind tee shots. Overall always worth a visit. Hospitality and staff were great. We'll be back!Reviewer Rating

Really enjoyed the round, the course was in good condition despite the recent poor weather. Think a good venue for societies.

Good course
This is an excellent course for a beginner like me as it is fairly open and I only lost one ball out of bounds. It is nice to find a course designed for low handicappers only. But the greens were of poor quality grass and could do with some maintenance.Reviewer Rating
