Very poorly maintained..used to be very good
In the last 12 months or so, this course has very badly deteriorated. The management have cut the maintenance budgets, and have let go of their maintenance staff, and it really shows. From the 1st hole T box, you are constantly pelted by ball from the range (the netting has ripped open, leaving gaping holes for balls to fly through). The fairways are full of weeds/daisys/uneven grass. There is also some very strange green patches on many of the fairways, as if some sort of liquid has been accidently spilt, leaving large circular marks. The greens are HORRENDOUS. The ground is very hard, they are full of divots, and are really lacking water. All in all, AVOID THIS COURSE!

Badly maintained excuse of a Golf course.
Over the past 2 years and in particular the last 6 months this golf course has got steadily worse and worse. It barely resembles a golf course now and what was once, a decade ago a beautiful little, well manicured course has now sadly morphed into a weed infested heath with a 9 flag poles. The management have no interest in maintaining the course and green keeping staff are on a skeleton shift. The few green keepers that are left are nothing more than temporary casual staff who just hack away bushes and weeds here and there. The greens are terrible, hardly ever watered, with holes and gouges all over, they are never maintained. The tee boxes are drought craked, weed ridden areas that are never watered. The seed boxes which were always empty have now beem removed after the members asked for seeds. The water irrigation system was completely broken for a month and is rarely used anyway. The bunkers have no sand, just hard compacted old soil and dirt. The Driving range is slightly better and the short game area also. The staff are friendly, the restaurant is good and the American Golf shop also good. But it seems the management have lost all interest in running this place and have absolutely no inclination of investing any time or money in improving this once excellent little golf course. Sad times, cant wait for my stupidly joined membership to expire.

Really good course for practicing the shorter game and working on your accuracy. Greens were in good condition and ran nicely. We went out at 9am and it was really quiet, so at a leisurely pace we got round in comfortably less than 2 hours. Will definitely visit again.

Superb course. I'm new to golf and my long game isn't very good (yet). I have impressed myself with my short game, however, after years of going to pitch and putts. If you enjoy the short aspects of the game, this course is superb. Several par 3s and I was able to make two of them in three shots, although hole 3 has been my nemesis so far, taking me 8 shots both times!

Short course but challenging holes. A little congested when weather is good but has a bar, driving range and full golf shop.

This was the first time I have played this course for some time and it has matured with age. Also the cost is more in line with other 9 hole courses in the area. Excellent value

The 9 hole course has some reasonably interesting holes maintained to an average condition - some are challenging. We visited in the morning and found that there was nowhere to get a snack. The restauarant does not open until lunchtime. Tea from the machine was grotty. The restaurant was pricey and you can't get such things as sandwiches.
This is a driving range with short course attached. Nice idea, but overall - somewhat disappointing.

Good 9 hole
Fairly interesting 9 hole course based on famous holes. The site which includes a golf range is under new management but they don't appear to be doing much to improve it. The range just has 2 distance flags and needs an upgrade since the ball loading machines went along with the coaches. With many local ranges and courses closing a bit of initiative would be good.

Crowded short course with good facilities
The nine hole course is okay to start but very cramped around holes 5-9. Always get an early tee time as could be calamitous if crowded in the afternoon. Great facilities for golf gear (American Golf), food and practice.
