What the club says: At The Millbrook we pride ourselves on the warm welcome that we offer all, regardless of age or golfing experience. Whether you are a seasoned golfer looking to join a friendly vibrant club, an occasional golfer out to play with friends or completely new to the game and keen to learn then we’re sure that you’ll find that this is just the place for you.

Nestling in woodland by the delightful village of Millbrook, we are in a beautiful part of Bedfordshire between Woburn and the historic market town of Ampthill. We are therefore conveniently situated just 10 minutes from M1 jct 13, 25 minutes from central Milton Keynes and only 2 minutes from Center Parcs Woburn Forest. Our elevated position on the Greensand Ridge means we can offer year-round playability and are blessed with unrivaled views of our rural surroundings. Once you arrive you’ll be amazed at how tranquil our setting is!

The Millbrook is owned by our Membership and we reinvest our revenues in making the club the best it can be for members and day visitors alike. Our course was laid out in 1977 and has matured so well that we have hosted the Bedfordshire County Championship and County Matches; which is a testament to both the course and our facilities.

A particular feature of our course are our ‘links style’ pot bunkers which complement our sandy, free draining soil of the Greensand Ridge. All together this provides the golfer with a flavour of both links and heathland style golf whilst ensuring year round playability.

A little problem with fungus on the greens which they are treating but usually greens are ok and all in all a lovely course. Great home made pasties too!

Played today and found the course a real challenge, some great holes and a very we'll kept course. For £20 this has to be the best value course I have played. The staff and members were very welcoming and helpful, would definitely recommend this course if you are in the area.

Played yesterday off the white tees. Never played anything quite like this. If you think Chiltern Forest has some extreme hills, then the Milbrook is in a different league. Would think it's pretty much impossible to score well on your first visit as lots of local knowledge required. Course set up fairly nevertheless and very varied. Reasonable value on 2 for 1 at weekend with Telegraph Open Fairways card. Good fun.

it is a shame the reviews of The Millbrook are so old. This is a fantastic course where the County Championships were held this year. Course is a test for any golfer whatever your handicap. The course is in excellent condition and because it is built on sand suffered few days when the course was closed in the very wet winter we have just suffered when other local courses were just quagmires.. Accuracy rather than length of drive more important. Burgeoning ladies section. Very friendly club and would recommend anyone to give it a go.

There are some great holes on this course but, a year ago we stopped playing it because all you could see when looking accross course were golfers searching for their balls on and off the fairways. If you go 1ft off the fairway you will probably lose your ball, one of us even lost one when his ball ran off the back of the green. I asked the owner if he had any plans to cut the grass and he said "you have you should have seen it last week, we have only just cut it". It is a shame that we have scratched the course from our playlist as it has the potential to be a great course.

Great course for a beginner, seldom having the pressure of better players needing to be let through. The course is not that old so it still needs a year or two to bed in. Open space parkland with some great views of the countryside and London in the distance. I have no doubt that with investment this could be a fantastic club but the greens and the bunkers are not that good. Still, green fee is not expensive and it is very friendly making beginners very welcome. A good place to learn but good golfers might prefer a more settled course.
