Underwhelmed

Played as a fourball and there is an acceptance by everyone we spoke with it’s gonna be slow. It was, we were held up by a just by shear volume of players. The course changes/layout don’t facilitate a reasonable pace of play. Greens were great but fairways were bare and all most impossible to hold tee shots on resulting in most blind tee shots running into areas unseen again slowing play.
Was looking forward to the course but despite some interesting holes it just didn’t meet the price tag.

The course has changed and the middle third (8-12) is all difficult, and can mess your card,
Tough course , get out of position and you will dop shots , greens have movement and are quick for this time of year,

Fantastic greens.
A lot of blind tee shots.
There have been a number of course changes, but they weren't very well signposted.

Work in progress

Played here two years ago when the course was having new holes built. Still an ongoing project and the current course has seven par three?s. Generally the course is in good condition and the greens are very good. Some long walks on the rebuild. Quite hilly

Our Society played yesterday Sunday 23rd June, congratulations to the Staff the Greens were in great condition. The best by far we have played on this year. Even tho the course is having a change off layout it was very good to play. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

As a relative newcomer to the world of golf, stepping onto the fairways of Boundary Lakes Golf Course felt like embarking on a new adventure. With only a handful of rounds under my belt, I approached this course with a mixture of excitement and trepidation, eager to test my burgeoning skills against its renowned challenges.

Nestled amidst the picturesque landscape of [insert location], Boundary Lakes exudes an aura of serenity and natural beauty from the moment you arrive. The meticulously manicured greens, framed by lush trees and tranquil water features, set the stage for what promised to be an unforgettable round.

From the outset, it became apparent that Boundary Lakes demands precision and strategy from players of all levels. As a novice, I found myself grappling with the nuances of club selection and shot placement, learning valuable lessons with each swing. The fairways, though inviting, require a delicate touch to navigate successfully, while the strategically placed bunkers and water hazards serve as constant reminders of the penalty for errant shots.

One aspect of Boundary Lakes that particularly impressed me was the diversity of its holes. From challenging par 5s that demand length and accuracy off the tee to intricate par 3s that require pinpoint approach shots, each hole presented a unique set of challenges that kept me engaged and on my toes throughout the round. Moreover, the layout of the course encourages players to think creatively and adapt their game plan accordingly, fostering a sense of spontaneity and excitement with every shot.

Despite my limited experience, I couldn't help but appreciate the impeccable condition of the course. The greens, true and fast, rolled smoothly beneath my putter, rewarding well-struck putts with satisfying results. Additionally, the attentive course maintenance ensured that every fairway and rough was pristine, enhancing both the aesthetic appeal and playability of Boundary Lakes.

As I made my way through the back nine, I couldn't shake the feeling of exhilaration that comes from mastering a new challenge. While my scorecard may not have reflected the skill and finesse of a seasoned golfer, the sense of accomplishment I felt upon completing my round at Boundary Lakes was undeniable. Moreover, the friendly and welcoming atmosphere cultivated by the staff and fellow golfers alike made the experience all the more enjoyable, reaffirming my love for this timeless sport.

In conclusion, my inaugural round at Boundary Lakes Golf Course was nothing short of unforgettable. From its breath taking scenery to its demanding yet rewarding layout, every aspect of the course left a lasting impression on this novice golfer. As I continue to hone my skills and embark on future golfing adventures, I have no doubt that Boundary Lakes will hold a special place in my heart as the site of my early triumphs and tribulations on the links.

Quality course, but don't play on weekends

This course is still being built. It's now in stage three of it's development. In the meantime there is a good course to be played. Some excellent holes and superb green complexes. When fully developed this will be a stunning golf course.
However, it's really short at the moment, lots of par 3's and short par fours. Which mean that it's a five hour round because they're trying to get too many people on it. When you have to wait on a par 4 for the people in front to get on the green (or in one case clear it because it's only 229 yards away) you need more time between groups to stop it clogging up. At points we had two groups on the tee and one in the fairway. I enjoyed the course but not the interminable waiting on every shot.
I wouldn't go back until it's fully developed.

Thoroughly enjoyed!

I love this course for many reasons. It's well priced, buggies always available, great fairways and greens. Only reason for knocking points off are the proximity to the motorway and the current work being done; which I appreciate will make it even better in near future.

Wonderful Course!

This course is undergoing some construction, but wow! All of the team working on the course is considerate and pauses for play through. Current course is already breathtaking with lots of water! First hole is a delight of pressure with water and hazards all around. If you are looking for a great course, lots of water, and some challenge this is the spot. Would highly recommend

?30 for the round, there is lots of GUR, moved tee boxes, even a matt in use. Pathways dug up and lots of work underway for the new holes. It's simply not worth the money in the condition it's in, a shame as I've enjoyed my rounds here previously at ?25

This is going to be a very good course once all the construction work is completed. Quite a few blond shots and that might change with remodelling. Greens need to be read. Loads of borrows and slopes.

Possibly the noisiest course I've played on this year.

For the first few holes the noise from the roads made it hard to hear people speak. Once we got away into the course we found that there was significant reconstruction going on. Lorries. Diggers. Something that seemed to be crushing rocks. Clouds of dust floating across the fairways. And noise!

Several new greens under deveoplment. Banks. Lots of investment.

You can't make an omelette without breaking eggs - but would I have spent £30 if I knew it was a building site?

On the positive side - Pro shop very helpful - apart from not telling us we needed hard hats and fluorecesent jackets. Greens - very good. Bunkers had lots of sand! Although no one had used a rake in any of them.

Fairways - rock hard and not much grass but that is true everywhere.

Standing on the 18th Island green and looking back across the water at the course, with the Cricket Stadium behind me you can see what a god course this will be.

We will be back. Just not this year.
