Great round for the golf day. This is harsh but the only negative is lack of sand in the bunkers.

A fantastic golf course all round, no doubt one of the best in the UK. Style-wise, it is similar to the London Club and the Oxfordshire, but arguably better than either of them.

It can play as long as you want - it was a fair challenge from the yellows, with wide, relatively forgiving fairways and greens that require precise approaches to the correct spot. Some beautifully designed and very challenging run off areas that will leave you with awkward chips. Even on the shorter par 4s, scoring is enticingly difficult.

Water in play on almost every hole, again with subtle run-offs from the fairways pulling your ball towards the hazard.

Although it had been extremely wet the fairways had drained perfectly, with no standing water, and the greens were true and fast. The slopes made it very easy to race the first putt past.

The welcome at the club was great, the food and drinks were on the expensive side (but expectedly so).

You should make an effort to play this course. We paid £50 each and it was very good value for that. Highly recommended.

Excellent championship golf course, not a single bad hole there, brilliant greens, clubhouse a bit pricey but it's a high end venue so it's to be expected

Our society played here on October 1st. Despite some woeful putting of my own I loved this course. From the initial booking(thanks Ashley) nothing was too much trouble. The course itself is brilliant,it's not a grip it and rip it course, each hole requires good management. I don't think there is one stand out hole, though the par 3 5th to an island green is nice. Speaking of water, there is lots of it though some ponds were dry due to the recent dry spell. The welcome, food and staff stand out too. My only small criticism is the 18th is a bland finishing hole when compared to the previous 17. Would 100% recommend a visit.
