What the club says: Award-winning course architect Marc Westenborg has created one of the longest and most challenging courses in European golf. Whilst designed to give tour professionals a true test, the five individual tee positions allow players of all abilities the chance to enjoy quite an unforgettable golfing experience. Encased in 375 acres of stunning countryside and situated on the banks of the river Tees, the course has been created with the environment in mind, introducing three new lakes and eight beautiful reed beds which fit seamlessly into the County Durham countryside.
Excellent first impression as you drive through the grounds to the golf services area.

Surprised it was open. Very boggy in places
(Round played: Mar 2017 - Score: 99 Handicap: 19.1)
The course is a challenge to say the least but everything from tees to greens was in superb condition, greens were receptive and in really a good condition in fact we all commented how good they were .
Everyone agreed it was the best course we had played in years
(Round played: Sep 2016 - Score: 107 Handicap: 17.4)
(Round played: Sep 2016 - Score: 86 Handicap: 15.3)
The greens were poor in comparison to equivalent courses in the area and nobody seemed to own a pitch mark repairer, That aside, very enjoyable and a good challenge and nice setting. Played on a £30 twilight voucher and would play again but only on the same deal. £4.75 a pint,
(Round played: Sep 2016 - Score: 92 Handicap: 15.6)

(Round played: Aug 2016 - Score: 93 Handicap: 20.2)
