i am a member here..and its a dreadful place to hold a membership. there is no buzz about the clubhouse, the small clique of active members essentially monopolize the place and the attention of the pros and pro shop staff -- its almost like a closed shop private course. very unwelcoming. i know a bunch of journeyman golfers like myself who are members and we all feel the same..that we will likely terminate our membership soon. and you also get the feeling everyone is waiting for their next job to come along. everyone is pleasant enough but its all just a bit 'by numbers' rather than instinctive and classy.
ona nice sunny day though, its a must play course. ithough if even moderately windy it can be unplayable even for very good golfers. the island par 3 fifth in particular can be very tough.
really sad to have to write this but just to highlight that fact that it is a vistors delight but a members shocker.

Disapointed in the course although facilitys excellent played a good game its a long old slog with long walks from green to tee made for buggies

Rockliffe society day
Played Rockliffe 28/4/19 with society group of 18 players, greens in poor condition & bunkers in general. Good layout & great facilities, it was a shame about its condition at present. I would definitely wait till later in the year to play here to get value for money.Reviewer Rating

Great courses, greens were poor
