Always enjoyable.
I know this course well but it is always a challenge (to me anyway!) It looks simple at first but if you are not accurate the ball can roll well away from the green for a very tricky return shot. The greens are always immaculate despite what some players have reported (usually in the middle of winter). A welcoming little course.(Round played: Jul 2018 - Score: 41 Handicap: )

Great for practising your short game.
Porters Wood is a nine hole course, the first and ninth being par 4's, the rest par 3's. It looks easy when you first arrive but there are some tough holes. You have to be accurate as there are slopes and gullies which take your ball away from the hole if you hit a wayward shot. As a senior golfer I paid £6.50 for nine holes, great value for money. Great little course. Good for new players and players trying to improve their short game. Membership is value for money. Friendly and very helpful staff.

Great course be even better if it was 18 holes, hole 1 and 9 are a little tricky also 7 is a tough one.

Only 9 holes but exerlent greens. fairways good but wet.

Short course. 7 par 3s offering different challenges. Good for practising. Greens are excellent and in play all year round. Probably not enough of a challenge for low handicappers.

A lovely par 3 course essentially 2 short par 4s and 7 par 3?s perfect for getting to grips with your iron play.
Lovely hole 7 hitting through a narrow gap all in all the greens are kept immaculate and it's a lovely 9 hole course to play ?8 is a really good price and why not play another 9 for an additional ?5 can't beat it 18 holes ?13 lovely stuff can't complain.
