Really enjoyed it. Lots of water and lots of bunkers. Plenty of traffic and sadly many golfers had not repaired pitch marks. Cost 127 euros at high season to book direct. Good options are limited.

interesting course on old orange (Laranjal in Portuguese) plantation, so free oranges on the way round, lovely

Improvements have been made at the club house since last year with the dining area now closed in. The pro shop is expensive but the course is fantastic. The greens are tricky and undulating and not too many level putts.

Course layout is good with limited tree's lining holes other than where they border the course. The conditioning is excellent with the main protection of the course achieved through large strategically placed bunkers and wicked greens that are true, fast and difficult to read. Get within 5 of your handicap here and you will have had a good round, no question.

Probably harder than the other two QDL courses. Greens and fringes are immaculate and challenging.

Laranjal is separate from the other Quinta do Lago courses but in excellent condition and fabulous to play. A few very difficult holes which require careful thought and course management to score well on, especially for higher handicaps. Very accommodating staff, although the clubhouse is very small.

Weather excellent course in good condition greens just been dressed so difficult to putt. A relativly new course so trees and plants need to grow at the moment flat and open but enjoable apart from greens. In a few years it will be a better. Club house not fully open.

First time at this newish course was really impressed. Greens were quick and fairways in good condition. Lots of water to negotiate and the 16th needs playing a couple of times to work out where to hit your 2nd or maybe 3rd shot! Catering area was a bit small and had to wait a while for breakfast for 16 of us. The changing rooms are very small but towels supplied. Buggies came with stanav, water bottle and ice buckets which at €50 euros I suppose you should expect. The cold towels went down well too as it was 34C. Buggies can go on the fairways except par 3's. Bunkers were very fluffy with loads of sand....big tip....don't go in them!!

I really enjoyed today the course was better than I remember it's maturing really nicely and it's as ever a tough test for you. For my handicap I think I played qute well today but blobbeda few holes which didn't help my scorecard. The greens ran true are massive in size but are a real challenge because they undulate. Just aiming to get on the green in my eeriness is not enough. See you next year.
