Overrated course, grossly overpriced.

Played the 9 hole Eclipse course. Artificial tee boxes were a bit bobbly but fine for what was required. Sadly the greens were not in great condition, especially considering that 2/3 of the shots should be putts! Far too bobbly and inconsistent, making putting a lottery on a few of the greens. \\Very quiet and unpressured, which allowed for a relaxed round. Nice driving range and a pleasant chance to use grass tees here for some good iron practice. Bar staff were friendly but sadly a slightly grumpy regular in the bar soured the day a bit but I’d still go back to try the proper 9 hole.

Wasnt really expecting much and didnt deliver much. Wanted to play with a mate after work and was closet course. Very open and fairways close together. Greens were ok but very slow.

Course refurbishment.
Lot of cosmetic work being carried out on course. Will be great when all completed. Not bad considering tha amount of recent rainfall.Reviewer Rating

Good for beginners

Good value Madness Monday

Good double loop of 9 and also a great pitch and putt to sharpen the short game. Friendly club-house and great American Golf shop. Annual membership is a steal too

I have not played this course for awhile and was pleasantly surprised when I had a spontaneous practise round.
A lot of good hard work has happened in my absense.
The greens are very good, receptive and in great condition.
The fairways have more definition than they use to which makes the course a little more intresting and the bunkers have some reasonable quality sand.
All in all very good course despite it being fairly flat due to the location being in the middle of the race course.

Very open and flat. Huge pro shop and a nice par three course plus pitch and put on site. It is a nice course to learn your game on but might not wet the appetite of a seasoned golfer. Very attractive 7 day membership rate at under £300! What did strike me as odd is the make up of the course 3 par 5's 4 par 3's and only 2 par 4's. All in all though a good experience.
