It?s a course of two halves.
I really enjoyed the first 10 holes. Mature woodland, lots of challenges. 11-17 is ok, but a little barren. I understand it was extended from a 9 hole. Still a worthwhile round and I will go again.Reviewer Rating

Boggy
We forgot that if it's rained a lot then Hersham can be a bit boggy and yesterday it was. To make matters worse, there were no ball washing facilities around the course and the clover was so thick that you didn't have much chance of finding your ball.Reviewer Rating

Good value golf
Fairways wet on a couple of holes after the heavy rain but otherwise in pretty good condition. As usual no complaints about the greens in particular. Bunkers perhaps looked in need of a good raking. Always a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere here I find. Nice driving range and bar too. Friendly barmanReviewer Rating

Tricky conditions
Course was surprisingly open following heavy overnight rain and so a lot of surface water on the fairways which affected a few drives. However, greens were in very good nick and run quite fast.Reviewer Rating

Only drawback was a 3-ball ahead of our 2-ball that was incredibly slow and appeared to have no concept of keeping up pace of play.

Not bad for Value
Its a short course front 9 being better than the back 9, the back 9 holes are very similar just straight up and down but the front 9 offers a nice variety. This time of year was in better condition than usual(Round played: Oct 2021 - Score: 81 Handicap: 16.5)

Good challenge
Course held up well after previous night's rain although frustrating for partners to lose a few balls in the leaves. Greens ok but a bit slow. Good value compared to other local courses although a bit short to play regularly..(Round played: Oct 2021 - Score: 88 Handicap: 17.7)
