What the club says: Regent Park Golf Club was designed by James Braid in 1931 and opened its doors to the golfing public in 1932 . The golf course is run by Regent Park Golf Course Ltd who since taking over from the Bolton Metro have made considerable changes and investment. The introduction of a golf range and refurbisment of the club house a few years ago has only enhanced the Golf Clubs reputation in the area and is still as popular with the golfing public as ever.

Played here since the late 70?s,always been a good course, personnally i prefere the old layout.Done a great job with the clubhouse,really nice especially if you get good weather sit outside.Some tough holes if the wind blows,not hard for walking round either

Been playing here since the late 70?s, seen the changes of the course over the years and its looking in great condition.Alot of money been spent on it.Some of the bunkers could do with making better but its a good risk reward course.Lots of money spent on the clubhouse and looks very nice,great deal during the week if you have a 4 ball, worth a visit

Boggy front 9
Front 9 really needs serious attention I know we have had a lot of rain but compared to other courses played lately its the worst front 9 I have played big drainage problem and at a price in the morning of £35 per player that's steep to say the least(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 84 Handicap: 10.7)

The new holes seem tio be bedding in now, several of the bunkers need to be worked on, over all not bad

A very tight undulating course. The greens were nicely cut but could probably do with spiking, sanding and a good roll.

This was my first round at this course and was very impressed. The course was in very good condition and has a good variety of holes. If you tee off after 11am u get a free food after your round which was a bonus.

Overall good venue for golf, the new 5 holes on the first 9 are almost settled. With the dry weather the greens could do with a little more TLC.

Played the course mid afternoon on a Sunday and it was very busy. The whole course has an air of neglect about it. The tees are poorly maintained and in many cases looked like a football goalmouth at the end of the season. On the new holes the tees aren't level and the greens haven't got a good growth of grass. Some of the bunkers have had the sand washed away and the black lining was showing. at one point we stood on a tee, one of the new ones, and in front of us saw a threeball and two fiveballs which were causing a jam. We missed out several hole to avoid delay. The back nine is more established but was blighted with large areas of damp unusual in such an established course with many years to sort out the drainage. Through the back nine runs a public footpath which is obviously well used by dog walkers. One was throwing balls onto the fairway for there dog to fetch and near on tee we had to avoid a pile of dog dirt. The whole experience was soul destroying, most of the footpaths haven't been finished off yet and are unpleasant to use.

Twilight golf just £9. 5 excellent and challenging new holes (3-7) have added much to this municipal course. In view of recent weather was pleasantly surprised in the standard of fairways and greens.

recent renovation of course needs time to settle. Greens when last played are average at best. If a good winter will be back to being a good course for summer 2015

Tee'd off at 1730. Brilliant weather it's only £9 for twilight which is from 1630 so is an absolute bargain. Not played here for years they have changed the course layout considerably and it's now a cracking course. The greens were ok could have been better but considering how much traffic they get here it was a good overall experience. Defiantly coming back!

not bad for a municipal,changed course since i last played some years ago taking out the lowest part of course which could be quite boggy.much improved.good facilities on-course.high handicappers beware the over water shot on 5.

This is a great course which offers exactly what you would expect for the money. A good mix of holes, distances and approach requirements for players of all qualities.

Bearing in mind that almost everywhere is waterlogged at the moment to some extent, I have to say this course was like a bog all over, with bunkers full of water, fairways a morass, and tees chopped to bits. Add to that 4 holes are being remodelled (? Why is beyond me, as they are on lower land than the rest and so will be sub-aqua in winter ?) and there are no signs to direct you to the less than obvious next tees! (The 5th tee is hidden up past the practice area fully 60 yards away from the 4th green ?) £7 a round yes, but really NOT worth going to. On a plus side the greens putted OK despite the water, pitchmarks and other damage?
