Played the course mid afternoon on a Sunday and it was very busy. The whole course has an air of neglect about it. The tees are poorly maintained and in many cases looked like a football goalmouth at the end of the season. On the new holes the tees aren't level and the greens haven't got a good growth of grass. Some of the bunkers have had the sand washed away and the black lining was showing. at one point we stood on a tee, one of the new ones, and in front of us saw a threeball and two fiveballs which were causing a jam. We missed out several hole to avoid delay. The back nine is more established but was blighted with large areas of damp unusual in such an established course with many years to sort out the drainage. Through the back nine runs a public footpath which is obviously well used by dog walkers. One was throwing balls onto the fairway for there dog to fetch and near on tee we had to avoid a pile of dog dirt. The whole experience was soul destroying, most of the footpaths haven't been finished off yet and are unpleasant to use.

Bearing in mind that almost everywhere is waterlogged at the moment to some extent, I have to say this course was like a bog all over, with bunkers full of water, fairways a morass, and tees chopped to bits. Add to that 4 holes are being remodelled (? Why is beyond me, as they are on lower land than the rest and so will be sub-aqua in winter ?) and there are no signs to direct you to the less than obvious next tees! (The 5th tee is hidden up past the practice area fully 60 yards away from the 4th green ?) £7 a round yes, but really NOT worth going to. On a plus side the greens putted OK despite the water, pitchmarks and other damage?

course under water some of the course unplayable refurbing , hard work , wont go again

Boggy front 9
Front 9 really needs serious attention I know we have had a lot of rain but compared to other courses played lately its the worst front 9 I have played big drainage problem and at a price in the morning of £35 per player that's steep to say the least(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 84 Handicap: 10.7)

The new holes seem tio be bedding in now, several of the bunkers need to be worked on, over all not bad

Course in pretty good nick as usual even for a pay and play, good facilities including decent driving range, friendly staff

Overall good venue for golf, the new 5 holes on the first 9 are almost settled. With the dry weather the greens could do with a little more TLC.
