First timer at Dunton Hills
Played the main course yesterday. The no booking thing kinda works, and there is almost a relaxed vibe on the course, just leave a holes distance on the first tee and you're good to go. The winter tees are better than most places, the fairways were dry, but slightly too long grass is places. The greens were also dry and in good condition. The wind makes several holes very challenging.Reviewer Rating

Good course but too many slow players
Always a good course but greens need better attention and are always left a little long compared with other courses. The clubhouse bar has still not been re opened and still can't get cooked food, just crisps and choco bars etc.Reviewer Rating

Excellent course, fairways clean, some greens look like they suffer disease probably due to excess water from weather.Reviewer Rating

Great value for money course
Always enjoy Dunton Hills, it's a longish course with some interesting holes, the greens are never great and very small to hit but always challenging. Clubhouse bar and food still not open can only get machine hot and cold drinks and crisps etc which is still a disappointment hence the low facilities scoreReviewer Rating

Good value
for a turn up and play course this has to be the best value for money in the area. No tee bookings required. The fairways are wide and some of the holes are challenging but they could do with a grass removal attachment on the fairways as it was full of cut grass. The greens were in reasonable condition but still worth playing especially as 18 holes is only ?14 clubhouse restrictions apply with no food or drink available apart from cold drink bottlesReviewer Rating

Picturesque Essex views great layout
Denton hills is an excellent course for the money! At ?22 a round and ?20 for a buggy it's one of the best cheap courses in the area with the only downside being slightly below par greens. With no booking system in place I was sceptical at first however pleasantly surprised when me and my playing partner turned up to find only 2 groups ahead of us that were already a hole in front so pace of play was great.Reviewer Rating
