Hot day so some bunkers and greens were dry.

Fairways were excellent.

Opening hole to finish this is a spectacular course that is extremely challenging but great fun if you embrace the challenge. It does have very sloping fairways in places but you do get the odd helpful bounce here and there.
I imagine that Seve had great fun designing this, do take a buggy as it is a long hilly trip. Hang on in the front nine and stay calm and accurate on the back nine and you can score.

A very hilly course and very difficult front 9, the second 9 is far more forgiving, a real challenge

Interesting course. Found that errant shots on the first 9 generally got scooped back onto the course. Back 9 need precision though.

BUGGY ESSENTIAL!!! Don't even think about walking this great course, there's a lot of distance and elevation changes, especially between greens and tees.

Great course though with great views of the surrounding areas. Take a lot of balls as there are a lot of blind tee shots and you'll lose loads of balls on your first round there.

On the downside, we visited during the US Open and were shocked to find that the clubhouse closed at 9pm on the Sunday! For a golf resort not to stay open and show the golf is unacceptable really!

High up in the mountains but superb views from many of the tees. Lots of elevation changes and makes it very interesting, but challenging as well. Thoroughly enjoyable golf course, nice greens and facilities. Overall, pleased with this course and would play again if I am back in Spain.

On top of a mountain, so it seems, where it can get very windy at times. Seve's sense of humour is reflected in the design of this course with numerous greens unsighted from the tee. Over the ridges, he tilts the fairways either one way or the other so that your first game there can be costly in lost balls. The second game will be fun because you can then start to enjoy the challenge rather than be frustrated by it.

The main road to the area is currently (Sept 09) closed while it is being rebuilt. It can only be a vast improvement on re-opening.

Very hard first nine holes

The course looks great but the first nine holes are really difficult. Very easy to lose balls from what you think is a decent teeshot. I found it not to my liking, not just because I didn't play too well but I didn't like the fact that hitting a great tee shot I couldn't find my ball several times.

Mixed feelings... At times beautiful, at times infuriating. Blind shots and beautiful scenery. I like to carry and walk, tough on this course. Was left furious with the design of the 18th hole where even a perfectly hit drive seems to automatically end up in the water. Was I supposed to tee-off with a 9-iron on a par 5?

Played this on my last visit in November. Not a great experience as the layout is one that punishes good shots. Many of the fairways are so sloped that it's very difficult to play a good shot and even when you do the result is a roll yards sideways of where it lands. Poor in caparisoned to Los Arqueros (another Seve design) where good shots are rewarded.

Beware of thieves on the course, especially on the 13th. We were robbed thieves come from behind the bushes and loot your golf bag on the buggy while your on the green. Would not play it again, I live on Alhurin urbanisation and it has become an ever increasing problem. The course management don\\\\\\\'t want to no, they say it\\\\\\\'s a sign of the times.
