What the club says: This beautiful parkland layout is set 1,000 feet above sea level. It provides a delightful test of golf among pine, cork, olive and citrus trees and features some of the best greens on the coast. There are a number of formidable water hazards sprinkled across the course that you'll want to look out for off the tee. All of the holes are named after bullfighters, so courage is definitely needed if you're to shoot a low score. For golfers also interested in the local history, the clubhouse is a restored 18th century farmhouse that was once the scene of the vengeful killing of contrabandistas.

Enjoy Lauro, a course made up of 3 x 9holes played in different combinations. We played 19-27 and then 1-9 and this was reflected on the special scorecard for these designated holes. Course in great condition.Reviewer Rating

Does what it says on the tin
This is a great value option for golf in Spain. We stayed here for 4 nights and played 3 times on holes 10-27. The 2nd 9 was a little more adventurous than the 1st 9, however the course was in good condition and was playable with just enough to challenge, overall we all thought the course was great value for money and enjoyed our stay!Reviewer Rating

Very misleading
Advertised 27 holes but 1 to 9 had been closed since June and we were not advised of this. Holes 10 to 18 is in a very poor condition, especially the greens. I can't see all 27 holes being open anytime soon. I have spoken to some members and they are disgusted with the way they are being treated.We have been going there for the last 5 years but will leave it for at least 2 years as it will take at that time to get all 27 holes playable.

Do not play this course unless you want pure disappointment, its not 27 holes it 10 to 27 with every green looking like poor quality patch work , yet management just don't care

Not bad but staff rude and in welcoming
Played 10 to 27. 10 to 18 was very nice and good greens. 19 to 27 were obviously add ins and was like playing in a big field with balls from other fairways quite scary. 17th and ? ?th were good.Apart for pro shop the staff were rude in restaurant, Marshall?s, buggy bar. Starter turned up after 2 of our groups had already teed off, gave no advice just took receipts and left.
Oh and buggies on the path at all times. What a pain in the arse. Also they charge 39e a buggy. We had 8 and 3 ran out of battery.
Plus a range finder was pinched.
Hang your head in shame Lauro.

I play Lauro Golf many times and the course was in perfect condition.
With 27 holes you can play a different course each time which is good.
I would recommend this course.

not bad course
we played the 19-27 and then the 1-9. The course was OK to play, I would like to play 1-18 next time thou.(Round played: May 2018 - Score: 91 Handicap: 13.7)

Lauro 1 - 18, found that a group with tee time after us had been allowed to start before us and another two were about to start when we got to the first tee. Very poor and sarcastic attitude from the Marshall at the start when challenged about the starting order. This along with very slow play resulted in 3 groups waiting to tee off at the 4th tee after only an hour of play. We had to wait at almost every tee for the group in front to clear resulting in our game taking 5 hours. During our game we never once saw the Marshall going round the course where he could have done some Marshalling and increased the speed of play. The last time I played at Lauro we were given a time we had to be at the 10th tee but this seems to have gone by the wayside but should be re-introduced. This very slow pace put some of our group off coming back to play at Lauro.

Have played this course many times and still enjoy it. Some of the holes are a bit unforgiving but on the whole a good course. Marshalling has room for improvement to cut down on waiting time for us to Tee off.

Have played this course 4 times and enjoyed them all. This last time I think was the best condition I have see the course. 09:00 tee off and perfect time and temperature.

Hot and followed a night and morning of hard rain. You'd never have known. Greens excellent and course good overall. To echo others,10-18 more interesting than 19-27

holes 10-18 really nice with good greens, holes 19-27 were short with some of the greens having a bit of disease, two differing 9's. enjoyable course that could be walked with trolley

What a great selection of 27 holes none more stuning than the par 3 26th then followed by a great par 5 the par 3 4th all up hill when you stand on the tee and look up to the green all you see is the top of the flag, if you are in the malaga area of Spain it is a must play course with its three loops of nine

stunningley beautiful course set in a peaceful location. made pleasant change from playing through housing estates like most other courses in this area have become with apartments linning every fairway!
