A great challenge and layout
It has been in much better condition in the past eg tee boxes quite poor
It has suffered from a lack of maintenance possibly due the lack of rain and hot weather and the virus
Hope it recovers to former glory soon as a great course!!

1st 4 ball weekend after lock down
Busy busy busy!No social distancing that I could see as there were bacon rolls / burgers available to but=t=y before / after the round.
Pace was slow, with a busy course and as far as I could see lots of 4-balls. Conditions were ok at best but to be fair, I don't know how much the green staff have been able to do.
The whole place just feels a little 'shabby', rough tee boxes, grass clippings everywhere, bumpy greens. It's a shame because the course itself is inheretantly good, just needs some TLC.

bunkers and greens need some work, but it has huge potential to be a top course again.

Not good!!
Course was very untidy as no maintenance had been carried out so grass cuttings all over the course making it hard to find a ball that had just rolled off the fairway!!. Tee boxes were a joke in some places. With a bit of maintenance and care it could be a really nice course. However give t a miss until it improves.Reviewer Rating

Tricky Course
I have played here about 8 times now and always find it a hard course to play. Was a bit wet in places but considering how much rain we've had it held up well.Reviewer Rating

Quality challenging course
Gatton Manor is a good well structured course, that is particularly challenging for 20 plus handicappers but also as my colleagues said will punish those on 10-20 handicaps. The greens were top quality, the course has natural water hazards that ensure you have to think your way round! Enjoy it.Reviewer Rating

Nice course
Nice course, greens a bit fluffy today. Out in the sticks but worth a visit. Clubhouse busy but not many on the course.(Round played: Jun 2019 - Score: 94 Handicap: 16.4)
