Poor
This place is in need of some TLC. The pro shop is like a tuck shop. The chipping practise area is an overgrown mess, that looks like someones back garden. There derelict buildings dotted about, all very weird. The tees are a muddy lumpy mess, the bunkers are all covered in weeds, you get the picture. For ?35 this is a very expensive joke of a course. However the bar and food were excellent.Reviewer Rating

Disappointed
Played Gatton at the end of November this year and it wasn't worth the cost of fuel to get there. The course should not have been open as it is in a very poor condition.
The greens are the worst I have ever seen and it will take a long time to recover if it ever does but it will need some serious work and money spent on it.

Great layout but disappointing condition
Really good challenging layout. Long but playable. Tees and fairways pretty good.Greens poor though for late August and bunkers seem to have been abandoned (full of weeds!)
Needs some work putting into it! Wouldn’t rush back…
(Round played: Aug 2021, Handicap 8.3, score terrible!

We last played Gatton Manor a couple of weeks ago and have to agree with some of the earlier reviews, it looked scruffy and unkept. When we played Saturday it was like a different course, no rough, tee boxes cut and tidy and bunker raked and weeded. The golf shop staff told us that they have a new course manager and a couple more green staff and it shows. The course is looking more like it was a few years ago. Well done Gatton Manor you've turned the corner for the better. We will definitely be back.

Tee boxes need cutting. Greens are in a terrible condition , like trying to putt on a beach.
You can see that given time and money, this would be a great course to play but not in its present state.

It's a course I enjoy playing but currently not worth the price they are charging.

Usually great but disappointed
A great course in very poor condition. Unfortunately the pandemic has had a profoundly negative effect and the greens have just been timed and are extremely bobbly. The fairways seem quite hacked and could do with some maintenance. I love this course but was upset that for ?35 it was in such poor condition after months without being used.Reviewer Rating

Nice course
Nice course, you can make it be a challenge if you want to. Good introduction to difficulty for newer golfers.(Round played: Dec 2020 - Score: 117 Handicap: 30)

Nice course, congested at weekends.
Nice course.I was due to play an 18 but decided early, along (along with 3 other groups waiting) that the four ball ahead were too slow and wrecking it for everybody. I guess that is Saturday afternoon golf for you but group behind me had no tee time and were just let straight on, so this explains why it was so congested. I was quite calm but there were a couple of lads back really losing it.
I enjoyed the course, some nice water holes and was already warned at check-in that the tees weren't the best, but they seemed ok.
I would come back and play an 18 here because the course was a challenge and in pretty good condition, but it would be early morning or midweek.
