Could be a very good course again if money is spent on it.
Tee boxes need cutting. Greens are in a terrible condition , like trying to putt on a beach.
You can see that given time and money, this would be a great course to play but not in its present state.

Course is in poor condition, greens very bumpy and tee boxes uneven and patchy, and 2 temporary tees in place, although this was an improvement as there were 18 temporary tees when I played around 1 month ago.

It's a course I enjoy playing but currently not worth the price they are charging.

Great course awful condition

I want to start this by saying I ran a society day here a couple of years ago & the course was brilliant a real challenge and great layout, the greens and fairways were brilliant. Yesterday I paid ?40 to play a course that was in awful condition the greens had work done on the 3rd of April (seen on previous review) and every green was bobbly it made putting a joke you would guess pace and line in the hope it would bounce the right way. Then to the fairways to be honest it was better to miss the fairway as more chance to have some grass under the ball, they were so patchy and it got worse on the back 9. I don't know the situation with covid but have played better cheap courses, they are also the only course I know/heard that hasn't got the course in playing condition within a few weeks and they have been open for near 6 weeks that's unacceptable.

Usually great but disappointed

A great course in very poor condition. Unfortunately the pandemic has had a profoundly negative effect and the greens have just been timed and are extremely bobbly. The fairways seem quite hacked and could do with some maintenance. I love this course but was upset that for ?35 it was in such poor condition after months without being used.

Boggy hellhole

£40 is expensive to play 1st nine twice off slippery tee mats. After a wet few days, ball plugged into greens and fairways, course should not be open in this condition. Feel ripped off.

Nice course

Nice course, you can make it be a challenge if you want to. Good introduction to difficulty for newer golfers.

Nice course, congested at weekends.

Nice course.
I was due to play an 18 but decided early, along (along with 3 other groups waiting) that the four ball ahead were too slow and wrecking it for everybody. I guess that is Saturday afternoon golf for you but group behind me had no tee time and were just let straight on, so this explains why it was so congested. I was quite calm but there were a couple of lads back really losing it.
I enjoyed the course, some nice water holes and was already warned at check-in that the tees weren't the best, but they seemed ok.
I would come back and play an 18 here because the course was a challenge and in pretty good condition, but it would be early morning or midweek.

Poor

This place is in need of some TLC. The pro shop is like a tuck shop. The chipping practise area is an overgrown mess, that looks like someones back garden. There derelict buildings dotted about, all very weird. The tees are a muddy lumpy mess, the bunkers are all covered in weeds, you get the picture. For ?35 this is a very expensive joke of a course. However the bar and food were excellent.

Very short, and a little frustrating

When you have to tee off on a par 5 with a 4 iron because you're going to run out of fairway it takes away a lot of the risk and reward.. overall in my opinion this was a crammed in 18 holes and although there were a couple of nice holes overall not for me
