Bristol

Nice course but the last hole is a big climb. Very enjoyable round.
The bar could have been more friendly.

Nice course

See my previous review on this course for a more detailed review. Course in good condition although soggy in places, green keepers working hard on drainage on 4th and 5th holes. Some holes are particularly challenging while others allow you to relax.

I personally wouldn't pay full price for this course considering Woodlands is up the motorway but twilight rates or 2 for 1 it is excellent.

Good course

Decent course with a good variety of holes. The longer hitter probably had the advantaged on this course because there is room for error but there are odd holes where tactical play might be king with large trees getting in the way if you hit the wrong part of the fairway. There are a number of greens which have been elevated so finding the pin can be tricky and the bunkers are compacted.
Greens and fairways in excellent condition ball cleaners and bins throughout the course and the course is fairly easy walking until the walk between the 17th and 18th holes which is quite steep but is a concrete path. The views are similar to what you get at Thornbury golf course up the road but you’re exposed to them a little more.

Good course wouldn’t pay full money of over £28 for a round though after 4pm £17 seems reasonable. £1.40 for a bottle of water is a bit of a rip off considering you can by a pint of quality cider for £2 in tesco...

Nice course

A nice course with a good variety of holes, just a shame about the weather. Be careful on the practice nets as we saw a small boy get hit with an errant drive off the first tee

Great summer course

Great summer course, can get really boggy in the winter.
When I played the course was in fantastic conditions and the greens very fast.

Gem of a course. Not overly long but very varied. A course all golfers would love. Course in great condition, greens were superb, extremely quick but true. Quite a hilly course, especially the walk from the 17th green to the 18th tee. One of the best courses around the area, would recommend it highly.

Few holes where still a bit boggy, once dried out this will be a good course. Some very challenging holes, chance to get the driver out a lot, is open in places.
