Holes rather samey and tremendous roar of M4 traffic on a couple of holes meant no feeling of having stepped off the world. No par 5s. Most disappointing aspect though was tremendous pettiness of the rules. I am a middle aged barrister so no rebel. One amazing example was a notice in the changing room. Members can leave their shoes their from week to week under the seats. The notice states that if the club believes that a pair of shoes are unacceptably worn then they will indicate this by leaving a golf ball in one of the shoes and the golfer should then dispose of the same and buy a new pair! I'm still wondering whether this is a joke but fear not from the many other pointless regulations put up around the clubhouse and course. Incredible.

Lovely local course

Great local course 2 minutes from work, had two temporary greens that was a shame.

Worth a round

Good course, although holes generally very similar to each other, especially on the front 9. Quite a few bunkers on the back 9 make it a bit more challenging, but overall not a very challenging course. Free driving range is great to prepare for a round. A few too many leaves and dirt on a couple of greens, but otherwise greens (and course) in good condition.

The course was in very good condition and the greens were especially good. The only problem with Wyke Green is the noise from the planes overhead, as on the approach to Heathrow, the trains running due to being alongside the Piccadilly line and the cars as the course runs alongside the M4 in places. The clubhouse is rather dated now but the food was tasty and service was very pleasant and friendly.

Tough first 3 holes that can put you on the way to a high score if attention not paid. Drive well and this course can be kind, 16 and 17 pat threes an interesting way to set up the finish

Not a bad course. Not terribly challenging though. I personally prefer tougher courses, but it is in excellent condition, and the greens were very consistent in speed (fairly quick). My friend is a member, so I will play there again...but that's the only reason...otherwise I wouldn't bother.

A great little course with good greens and fairways and an interesting design which isn't all driver short iron/wedge! Found the Pro really helpful, but club a little old fashioned regarding hats and socks! Members a little snotty as well! Otherwise a great course with cheap rates on Monday or Tuesday (can't remember which!)
