What the club says: The Club has two fine 18 hole courses designed by the great J H Taylor, five times Open Champion and Club Professional for 47 years. The Outer Course is the scene for the famous Antlers Open Competition for Amateur Foursomes Medal play; the Inner Course is home to the well-known Mothers and Daughters Open Competition. Both courses enjoy the benefit of an irrigation system installed in 1997 which waters all fairways and aprons as well as putting greens and teeing grounds.

Just can?t believe you?re in London!

A lovely scenic, tree lined golf course. You cannot believe that you?re in residential London. Very friendly staff throughout and course in really good condition.

Very well kept parkland course

The outer course (JH Taylor) is a real challenge at this very nice club. Despite the very dry summer, the course was in great shape and plays tough; typically the long par 4s play into the wind. There are only 2 par 5s but 5 par 3s of varying lengths. Well worth playing, particularly if you can get on with a member. It is a well-to-do club where the members are well looked after so is quite pricey with to pay a visitor green fee but well worth it.

Lovely course under flight path

Clubhouse and course very good when we visited for a 9/11 charity golf day.
Sadly could not stay for dinner afterwards but course in excellent condition although two greens were not the same so inconsistent.
Would recommend.

Great course, some strategic holes, mixed in with some challenging long holes. Greens were in great condition for April. Bunker placement on many holes required thought off the tee.

Played through work. Decent condition given recent weather although greens had just been hollow tinned.

Very good greens so early in the season. Excellent definition through the courses and the best fairways I\'ve played on all year. Lots of work has gone on over the wintertime to tidy-up areas just off-line which has greatly improved the overall condition.

Convenient for London. Generally in good condition. Staff and members quite welcoming. The layout of the course and the golfing experience unremarkable with few characterful holes and everything seemingly 'crammed in'. Excellent history and clubhouse, but only a very average golf course.

Nice course although the greens were much slower than normal. The only thing I find with the RMSGC is the noises environment. Cars from the A316, planes from Heathrow every 90 secs and trains from nearby Richmond.

J.H Taylor course has greens that are as good as any course in Surrey. They\'re running very true, especially considering the rebuild over the last few years. A true test of golf that will challenge the very best golfers. An excellent course that is worthy of more praise.

Pam Barton course if fantastic, very narrow - so hitting straight is really your ultimate goal. Good bunkers and sand. Excellent chipping and putting facilities
