What the club says: Opened in 1923 by HRH Prince of Wales, Richmond Park Golf Course was heralded as a place where ‘artisans and royalty are equally welcome’. 90 years on and Richmond Park is now truly fit for a king, following a £3million improvements programme by Glendale Golf.
The impressive venue includes a brand new clubhouse, designed to literally blend in with nature with a roof made using acid grassland from the Park. The eco-friendly building features an open plan coffee shop, bar & restaurant. Floor to ceiling to glazing provides uninterrupted views across the golf courses, against the spectacular backdrop of Richmond Park’s 2500 acres.
The Duke’s and Prince’s Courses reopened in June 2014 following a major overhaul to improve the quality and layout of their 36 holes. Furthermore, a 15-bay Driving Range is now open, which is perfect for golfers wanting to improve and those who are new to the game.

A Pleasure as Always
Great location within the Royal Park with two different 18 hole courses to choose from. There is also a driving range. Courses are in good condition and the eco-friendly clubhouse and catering are excellent. The staff are always very friendly and courteous. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Average
Went for a 3 ball round yesterday and quite enjoyed it. It is muddy of course at this time of year and the fairways are more like fields. We only did 15 holes as we were behind two 3 balls who were excruciatingly slow....six shots to the green players. Having said that we had a good walk and I parred the 18th which always makes you leave with a smile. The Glendale staff have done a good job since taking over. Cheap, cheerful and unpretentious.

Overbooked and expensive
The course really really overpacked the course so that the rounds were taking nearly 5hrs with waiting at every single tee.(Round played: Dec 2020 - Score: 117 Handicap: 31.9)

Social Golf
Two small courses with a fair layout for the cost. Greens are well kept considering the volume of wear by fair weather golfers.Princes will give you a quick round first thing in the morning. Our three ball went round in 3 hours.
Dukes can often be much slower with a few minutes wait at each tee. Nevertheless you should comfortably get round within 4 hours with a morning tee.

Surprising
Princes course Thursday afternoon. Busy but for a municipal course it was surprisingly good. Par 68 so not long but with a 200yd plus par 3.Two par 4's at 260 yards. Not massively wide to you need to be reasonably straight off the tee. overall a nice surprise.

Great public gold course
Richmond Park Golf has two 18-holes courses of which one is a bit longer and flater while the other is a bit shorter but more up and down. Fairways are rain dependent so in peak of summer become brown. I play there as it is easy to get a t-time and very convenient to play. The staff is fantastic. Fairways a bit wider than some private golf courses so good for people like me who are not so good.

Excellent day on the golf course
This review submitted under Covid 19 restrictions. Course is managing these very well. Food and drink not available so not reviewed.(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 93 Handicap: 26.5)

Course in good condition
Greens were looking great and the course was in good condition. Looking forward to playing Princes course soon(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 83 Handicap: 23.9)

Richmond Park
Easy location to get to, just off the A4. 2 courses, this is the lower of the 2. Lot of streams come into play from the tee.(Round played: May 2020 - Score: 91 Handicap: 24)

Wet and Windy
We had our society day at Richmond Park and played the Dukes Course.Clubhouse is pretty new I believe but not very pretty!! Staff were polite and helpful. Small shop for golf essentials. Food good. Course was well used but in decent condition apart from the tractor tyre marks near the greens. Greenkeepers take more care!! Greens in good condition. We played on a wet day and the greens had a fair bit of surface water which was frustrating. Not sure the drainage is all it could be. Course is flat and very open with forgiving fairways. Greens are sometimes small but receptive and well kept.
