Greens were in good condition but a little slow, especially for a County Championship. Lots of newly raised tees which goes some way to tidying up the layout. Bunkers looked to be decent, although I avoided them all this visit. Fairways were all tidy, but on a windy day it was not easy to hit them.

The twilight tee price of £15 after 1600hrs is extremely good value, but £20 is still well worth it.
The staff in the pro shop were very helpful and there was a reasonable amount of product available. The changing rooms are accessed virtually straight from the car park and are not locked in any way, so heed the warnings and don't leave things there.
Getting out on the course, the tees, fairways and greens were all in very good condition, the greens were very receptive, fairly quick, but as a municipal course I think there's plenty of people who don't worry too much about things like repairing pitch marks. The holes are well designed and tight enough, with as it would suggest, plenty of water which has to be considered and routes which mean it is frequently something other than a driver off the tee.
After the round, the club house looked inviting, but was apparently being used for a wedding reception or similar which we decided not to interrupt, so I can't comment on the clubhouse.
i look forward to returning and playing more here.

Well kept course
Bearing in mind the recent rain and the fact that there are plenty of lakes and rivers around teh course, this was a well kept course that played true.Reviewer Rating

Bedfordshires finest
A real pleasure to play this well maintained course with its lakes and river in the countryside. The holes are well laid out and the greens and tees in great condition. Well worth a visit and I don’t think you’ll be dissatisfied with the 19th either.Reviewer Rating

Pretty Parkland Course in Bedfordshire
Situated near the River Great Ouse and the market town of St Neots. this pay and play course was in good condition. Greens had been softened by overnight rain but were true. Although the course is under 6,000 yards off the yellow tees, it is bounded by the river and there are several lakes and ponds to contend with, as well as 'thickish' rough and trees. It helps to find fairway as much as possible to ensure you have a shot into the small greens.Reviewer Rating

Great day out
Played this course over a year ago and it was in stunning condition, fantastic value for money, played it again yesterday and I was shocked how poor the course was, most of this was down to a incredibly hot and challenging summer which has left the fairways rutted and the greens diseased and in poor condition and the tees are uncut and bunkers un raked,it still is a great layout with short par 4s,and generous par 5s so great for us high handicapers, this is a course that needs lots of rain and the tees rested and a lot of work on the greens, very pricey food and drink but the lake view at the 19th on the new patio is classey and stunning.Reviewer Rating

Scorched?
Very dry, but very playable. One surprise / complaint was that the greens very slow, not what you would expect given the recent weather.Reviewer Rating
