The greens are extremely poor. They are dry, bumpy and cracked and as a consequence very slow which is a shame as the rest of the course is in good condition.

I always enjoy playing here

Excellent club house / restaurant and hotel, the course is nice but some of the greens were not in great condition not what I expected for the money we paid, £5 less would have been a better price for the course condition on the day.
Over all I do like playing here usualy once a year as I live in Essex and next time hoplefully the greens will be in better shape.

nice course

my second round today spoiled by slow play we was a 4 ball pushing up a 3 with a 2 in front and we did see golfers walking on the 11th complaining it will be dark before we get done we was over 4 hours

Plenty of water but not enough on the greens

Lovely setting with plenty of water hazards. The fairways were in great condition, as was the rough and most of the bunkers. Sadly though the greens and tees had suffered during the period that courses were closed, and clearly not enough watering was applied to accommodate the dry weather we have had, lending to bare patches. A challenging course nonetheless and one I would recommend when it has recovered.

Reasonable Course

Many water hazards to navigate around. Greens a little patch and quite slow too.

Nice course to loosen up on after lockdown for several weeks. No bunker rakes to avoid contamination but then the bunkers have not been raked by groinds staff either. No club facilities.

nice course around the lakes - greens need work, and it can get noisy with the speedboats - but nice if you incorporate the hotel stay

OK - Weather didn't help

One of my favourite courses in the area; however weather was not good and there was a lot of standing water. Some of the greens seemed very bumpy.
One word of warning, the bunker on the 9th doesn't have a lot of sand in it. When I tried to play out hit clay less than an inch down.

Visually interesting course

The name Wyboston Lakes tells you exactly what to expect when you play here -there is LOTS of water. It's not a long course but you have to play with care and thought. There are lots of trees too so it's nice looking course. The only downside is that the food in the very smart clubhouse doesn't cater for those of us who just want a sandwich / baguette to eat. In addition the food is VERY expensive. My friend knew what to expect so we brought our own sandwiches and ate in the car! If they sorted the food out, we would go there more regularly than we do.

Parkland pay and play course

Well established picturesque course with mature trees and water hazards. Subject to prevailing out westerly winds can be challenging. Nice clubhouse and bar with terrace seating area overlooking a lake.
