Relatively easy course despite all the water
Relatively easy course despite all the water. Greens were in poor condition, all had recently been fertilised and the speeds were super variable from green to green. Sure in the summer in its pomp will be a good fun course to play. Will come backReviewer Rating

Course in decline
Played 23/04/2022 and disappointed, have played here many times before and it is sad to see how the course has declined, the greens in particular - they vary in standard but none are very goof and look like they haven't been mown for days, some of the fairways would make better putting surfaces than some of the greens !My other big gripe is the tee boxes, why is it difficult to have level teeing areas, I don't want to drive with the ball above my feet !

Poor Wyboston
9holes only, back nine closed, did not mow greens even after 2 days of Sun, tee boxes were closed in the 9 holes we played, still took booking which delayed our whole Society game, driving range closedDinner was good at hotel

Great course, green tining made putting a lottery
Course is in great condition with the exception of a shabby 16th tee box. The biggest issue was the greens. I appreciate that they need tining, but the cores were core holes were so big , and core debris left on the greens. This meant bobbles became jumps (3 inches in the air) and putting was impossible. I would play here again but not for a while until the greens are usableReviewer Rating

Interesting course
I was pleasantly surprised with the course. Not long but a good challenge. The rough was punishing which was a shame since I was in it a lot! There is plenty of room around the holes and you don't see other golfers too often. As a hotel course it is quite busy and golfers tend not to be as good at repairing pitch marks as they would on their own course! We played for three consecutive days and the tees were only moved on the last day - sadly the grounds men seemed to be following us so the tee maxes were quite lush when we played which wasn't great on the par 3s. Overall enjoyed the course.Reviewer Rating

Short but interesting Course
Didn't know this course existed but a friend stayed and played and recommended it so thought I'd try it.The course is quite short but the holes were interesting, with some sharp dog legs. There is water on quite a few holes so you need to be reasonably straight. Condition was generally good. Greens were slow but true. Some of the fairways had some sort of weed/plant growing on them. Tees were a bit hit and miss, some very good, others a bit uneven.
All in all enjoyed the round and will certainly go back for the price of ?22, a good bit cheaper than other courses close by.
