Great course
A great course with excellent greens, bunkers and layout. Friendly staff and very welcoming. The quality of the fairways on this occasion were disappointing.

Top class hidden gem
Whilst hidden gem is a bit of a cliche and often over used. Worksop is in an area known for several other courses that may just pip it for must plays. But don't let it pass you by! Worksop is a 100% must play hence the use of hidden gem.The course is well maintained with exceptionally good quick and generous greens and a nice varied layout offering an excellent golfing challenge for all golfers. All holes are unique offering lots of variety with a few risk and reward holes also thrown in.
The only slightly less positive point would be the course signage with a couple of holes where it is not 100% clear which path leads to the next hole but that information is clearly available on the back of the score card so it shouldn't really be an issue.
I'd highly recommend playing Worksop Golf course and am sure golfers of all abilities would find it an excellent course to play and an enjoyable day out.

Great Course playable for all abilities
I took a group of 13 golfers of mixed ability and gender to Worksop on 23rd Aug had a great day out. The hospitality from all the staff was really appreciated, nothing was too much trouble including changes to what we had originally organised (thank you Simon for your flexibility). The food was very nice particularly the treacle sponge and custard which I would certainly recommend for anyone eating there in future. The course was in wonderful condition and provided an excellent test for golfers ranging from 7 to 35 hcp, everyone enjoyed it and some very good scores were registered. All in all it has to be said everyone had a great day and now all that remains is to organise yet another return trip.Reviewer Rating

Society Outing
Had a great day at Worksop at the end of May with our golf Society. All 12 of us enjoyed Coffee, Bacon roll, 18 holes golf and an excellent 2 course meal to finish. Bar staff very welcoming before and after golf, the course was in excellent condition, challenging but playable for all levels of golfer. All 12 of us enjoyed the day, and would recommend to anyone for good course at reasonable costReviewer Rating

Fantastic Society visit
Our society has played here a few times and are always keen to return. Played in May this year and the course was in mint condition. The pro and bar/catering staff are lovely people. We had a great day and can't thank Worksop GC enough. We'll be back!Reviewer Rating

A Mystery
I am not a good golfer which is why I play off 30. My club is Silkstone and I get an additional 9 shots here which is a mystery to me as I found it less tough going. Played in Mizuno pairs in poor weather and course was about as soft as it ever gets. I didn’t score well but I didn’t lose a ball either which is unusual. Greens were good for this time of year. It’s a fair challenge in winter. I would like to try it in summer.Reviewer Rating

Good test of golf
there's a lot to like about Worksop. Course layout is decent, and a fair challenge, and conditioning was very good. Observationally, i think it could be improved with some thinning out of the trees to make some holes less claustrophobic, which would no doubt help get more light to the course as well - Coxmoor close by is a great example as to benefits of this type of action.Reviewer Rating

Fun Layout and Fair Test
Great time playing Worksop.I think it is fair to say its fairly challenging off the tee. Tight in places and some heather coming into play but not always a driver which makes it fun.
The greens are amazing, and felt pretty big which means you need to be on form with the putter if you want to post a score.
Some lovely views and some well framed hole and can be enjoyed by golfers of all abilities.

Winter go-to
We visited after a very wet stormy period when most courses were either closed or on full temps; this proved a very well-drained course all round, with all 18 greens open and in fine condition. Not a difficult course but nevertheless a good all-round test. All staff were very helpful and welcoming, as were the members we met.
Worksop will certainly be our winter standby from now on.
