Good course. Nice clubhouse and bar. Needs more bar staff in busy times

Lovely course, could hear a pin drop when you play as out in the sticks, not as hilly as thought it would be albeit the 18th was rather steep! Holes are challenging enough, especially off the tees as need to drive with accuracy otherwise plenty of out of bounds, relatively dry, greens are in good condition, good value for £19 (Tuesday lunchtime tee off). Certainly a course to try if you fancy playing somewhere different for a change, only gripe was it seemed to be a lot more windy around this course than on any others I play.

Not been here in a few years so interested to see how it had matured. Really hasn't changed very much. Nice quiet setting, easy layout but a tough walk. Rough non existent, fairways average greens bordering on excellent. Colour coded flags and distance markers. Nice grass range and putting green but no warm up net. Five pounds too expensive on the green fee. Muddy between tees and greens.
3 things that if they were improved, I would play here more often. Paths need to be introduced gradually, it looks scruffy in places. The 8th green and 9th tee should be swapped over, would improve both holes dramatically. And lastly, this is another course where senior 4balls are proliferating in the early times. Sunningdale wouldn't put up with that, the course is never going to be that busy to justify it, and it means the numerous 2 and 3 balls stuck behind end up taking over 4 hours which on a course this straightforward is too long.
I'd have to say its a little over rated on here, probably 20-25 out of the 65 courses in Hertfordshire.

Improved in recent years, greens in excellent condition this year. Bunkers could do with a bit more sand, in fact with a little more attention to detail around the tees etc and a bit more care and attention, this could be a truly very good course. However, for the money extremely good value.

Daily golf deal - 11 quid each. Great layout, greens not up to much and the bunkers were poor. Great welcome and very friendly staff.

My home golf club. A real test of one`s skill as due to the gentle hills (as suggested by the name) it is very unusual to get a level lie, the ball is usually either above or below your feet, sometimes by as much as 12 inches. Well worth playing!
