Good tough course, greens were not in the best condition due to the time of year but you could see the potential

Played on a cold April day, as a guest, 7 weeks ahead of the PGA. Fantastic set up, as you meander through the Wentworth estate. Nice welcome from the Starter, to get you ready for your first drive with no doubt several super cars waiting as an audience. Many great holes, that are familiar from what you see on the television. Bring your A game to keep it straight into fairly generous fairways, avoid the greenside bunkers that are deep ( little sand on our visit ) and then putt on greens that have many borrows. Greens were a little disappointing in that very slow, unbelievable - but no doubt waiting for some sun and growth ahead of the PGA. Would rather play 3 courses of £ 100 a round rather than pay the green fee at Wentworth West, but still appreciate the experience of the day.

Superb setting amongst the hugely affluent Virginia Water residents. The course is long and demanding with little or no room for error. If you stray off-line you will suffer, keep it steady & the rewards are a plenty. Great course and venue.

Very expensive, but you get what you pay for and the Wentworth club is an excellent place to spend a day or even a few hours.

Outstanding venue and a must visit for any golf enthusiast, the history and setting send a tingle down the spine. The Edinburgh course is a great challenge and an excellent complimentary course to the higher profile West Course, used on thhe Seniors circuit.

As good as you would expect
The West Course at Wentworth - home of the PGA Championship in Europe - is as good as you would expect and hope. Beautifully tranquil and picturesque, it is great on the eye. Lots of subtle doglegs and elevation changes. It is long off the white tees and played all of the 7000 yards when I played it as it was rained very heavily overnight. The sub-air system ensured the greens were first class, pure and very fast. One of the most impressive heathland/ parkland courses in the UK. As good as it said on the tin.Reviewer Rating

Course in spotless condition apart from the bunkers which had just seen a lot of rain so sand was compacted and hard. Minor quibble. Beautiful course, fantastic clubhouse and just an overall experience that's hard to beat.

I recently had the privilege of playing this iconic golf course and it was an amazing experience. The condition of the course was perfect and it offered a great test of golf without being too challenging. The half way house was friendly and the marshalls kept the game running smoothly. I found the course to be beautiful and it was a dream come true to play it.
