What the club says: Sunningdale’s Old Course, which opened in 1901, was laid out by Willie Park Jnr....

It is pure enchantment that characterizes Sunningdale Old. Virtually every hole is played in splendid – and beautiful – isolation, and in harmony with nature.......There is subtlety here, a measure of drama, and a wealth of that one indispensable ingredient, pleasurable excitement......No wonder it may be the most beloved inland course in the British Isles.

All that being said, there are those who like the New Course, which opened in 1923, at least as well…The New is perhaps a bit more rugged than the Old, a bit more masculine, if you will...... This is rich and handsome and challenging golf, Harry Colt in top form.

Sunny Sunningdale

Lovely course very overpriced, a bit stuffy and pretentious, course was nice but not when compared to similar courses like Woburn and the Grove

Simply a class above

Simply a class above, great quality, great traditions, there's a definite aura about the place. Also started very well to stand +2 after 6 which helps.

Great course

Really great Golf course. As you would expect, challenging and extremely well looked after. The old course will challenge any golfer to think differently and be smart about thier club selection.

Unbeatable 36 hole venue

Just spectacular - both courses littered with standout holes, and excellent off course hospitality. Save those pennies and make the trip, you won't regret it.

Love, Love, Love this course!!

If you should ever be granted an opportunity to play at Sunningdale - on either course- take it. You will not be disappointed. They aren't the longest courses but they are such a good test, and the conditions every time I've played there have been immaculate. Possibly my favourite place to play.
