Despite the course overall being in good order, if bunkers are to be part of the playing area they should be maintained in a fit and playable state. They need to be raked prior to the days play and not left with near solid crust on like a stale pie.
Also players who do not wish to rake their foot mark from bunkers should take up a different sport and not spoil mine.!!!!!!!!1

Love playing this course and the water hazards make it more challenging.

The course is well maintained, short in length, but excellent value for money only £7.50 a round when booking online.Plenty of hazards in the form of woodlands, rivers, ponds and bunkers, however the wide fairways provide a forgiving course.
Suitable for beginners - high handicap players.

Enjoyable course. Some nice dog legs. Par fives are fairly long.

Played this course 23.4.14 and WILL NEVER PLAY IT AGAIN due to three reasons, firstly the greens are a JOKE, in a shocking condition, untrue and impossible to putt on, secondly the fairways are like a meadow, full of daisy's, dandelions and weeds, Finally the main reason is due to the manager being an arrogant, unprofessional and rude, never have we been spoken to like that before, most course staff/managers are polite and want your business as they should do, speaking to other members though he has history and the club is in decline due to this kind of behaviour....far better courses about with better staff/management ! RANT OVER

Had a round today and fairways good and kept u on ya toes but GREENS were SHOCKING, would have been good if it wasn't for the obnoxious arrogant cocky guy who served us 24.04.14 shocking the way he spoke to one of my freinds. Customer service should always come first and this guy needs some tuition (sack) Disgusting

Played in the week for £7.50 through tee times online for 18 holes. A nice course, I'd imagine it would suit a wide range of golfers. Some tricky holes. I hadn't played in months and it made for a very enjoyable round. Meal in the clubhouse afterwards was great, just what I needed after a round and the staff seemed friendly and were very helpful as I had not been before.

What are they talking about. Round this morning in beautiful autumn weather, course in good condition, greens excellent. There is always something about which you can find fault, fairways could do with some weedkiller in places, but this is not St Andrews or Wentworth. What do you want for £7.50 on a county card or £15 without. Clubhouse perhaps needs a bit of TLC but that did not detract from experience, staff friendly. I am not a member, belong to another private club in Lincoln. Unsubstantiated comments are easy, there is no comeback "think tripadvisor", where do you play James / Lincoln or are you "pay and play"?

Poor quality golf course at a high price. Save yourself some money and go elsewhere. Course kept shoddily and has not had any improvements for the 10+ years i have visited it (couple of times a year). Management have a terrible attitude and service is shocking. Laughterton offers same quality course for £6. £20 they are quite clearly having a laugh. Market Rasen is 4x the course for the same price. \\Would not recommend at all, the only time it may relatively be worth it is by going on teetimes, without that you really are just throwing money away. 1/5

enjoyable and well kept course with challenging holes, especially the 18th which was my favourite, the only downside was the miserable assistant manager who served us!

Welton Manor has some challenging holes and one very long par 4. Despite this, the generous fairways and some shortish holes should make it an ideal beginners or practice course. Sadly the condition of the greens was abysmal.

Welton has gone downhill over the last few years.
The course hasn't improved and all they are interested in is taking your money off you!. Bar prices are overpriced and its not friendly anymore.
As another reviewer quoted its OK for a practise round. It is providing you don't get 4 balls in front off you as it will make a very long practise round. Save your money and go somewhere else.
