Mr
Rang up to book myself and a friend a T Time. We are both average/beginner level. Have played the course many times before. The first question iGot asked was “have you played here this year” to this my answer was no. The next response was “we don’t want beginners on the course” what a lovely friendly course you have. Such a pitty as was going to try and get my game to a better level and look at a membership. But I feel I have dodged a bullet. Such a shame as really enjoyed playing the course before but I can only assume the PGA must be knocking and they don’t want green fees from locals.

Played this course 23.4.14 and WILL NEVER PLAY IT AGAIN due to three reasons, firstly the greens are a JOKE, in a shocking condition, untrue and impossible to putt on, secondly the fairways are like a meadow, full of daisy's, dandelions and weeds, Finally the main reason is due to the manager being an arrogant, unprofessional and rude, never have we been spoken to like that before, most course staff/managers are polite and want your business as they should do, speaking to other members though he has history and the club is in decline due to this kind of behaviour....far better courses about with better staff/management ! RANT OVER

Had a round today and fairways good and kept u on ya toes but GREENS were SHOCKING, would have been good if it wasn't for the obnoxious arrogant cocky guy who served us 24.04.14 shocking the way he spoke to one of my freinds. Customer service should always come first and this guy needs some tuition (sack) Disgusting

Poor quality golf course at a high price. Save yourself some money and go elsewhere. Course kept shoddily and has not had any improvements for the 10+ years i have visited it (couple of times a year). Management have a terrible attitude and service is shocking. Laughterton offers same quality course for £6. £20 they are quite clearly having a laugh. Market Rasen is 4x the course for the same price. \\Would not recommend at all, the only time it may relatively be worth it is by going on teetimes, without that you really are just throwing money away. 1/5

Welton has gone downhill over the last few years.
The course hasn't improved and all they are interested in is taking your money off you!. Bar prices are overpriced and its not friendly anymore.
As another reviewer quoted its OK for a practise round. It is providing you don't get 4 balls in front off you as it will make a very long practise round. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I played the other day and it was cheap,it is what it is,not the best but ok.The greens were quite good.The clubhouse was run down and needed a facelift but food was good.

Course in not bad condition,greens are flat but very firm and not easy to hold the ball on when approaching. The cost of 15 pounds is very expensive for this course,with better courses at the same price within a 10 mile radius.

Welton Manor has some challenging holes and one very long par 4. Despite this, the generous fairways and some shortish holes should make it an ideal beginners or practice course. Sadly the condition of the greens was abysmal.

A good training course, when its wet its very wet!! Bunkers are poor!! greens can be poor depending on the year. £20 per person at the weekend is a little expensive!! £15 per head would be more appropriate!

It was good to see the bunkers were being filled up with sand. The greens were pretty good but the T's were very poor they were extremely uneven. Otherwise a decent round for novices and high handicapers.

Course was in fair to good condition. Only downfall was a 4 ball ahead that didn’t let us 2 ball play through. Friendly welcome but very restricted parking available when busy

Welton manor good value for money course greens fairways are quite good and not too testing for the everyday golfer.Bunkers let it down a wee bit definitely need some good quality sand introduced and toilets need bit TLC,but overall worth a visit.Reviewer Rating

Just started playing golf again after 12 year lay off and it shows all in all quite a good course for middle of the road golfers open fairways and quite good greens worth a visit not the belfry by any means but good value for money.

Despite being very wet buggies had been on course and on the 17th the whole of the fairway was churned up.

Greens as good as any around, Bunkers tidy, good sand. Fairways well cut. Overall tidy appearance of course, rough, hedges and tees. Challenging course

Played on a Sunday morning, Great value at 12 quid but very busy and slow. If you are one for dress codes, you will have to look the other way on occasions. Greens were very good as was the rest of the course to be fair. Not the longest track but interesting enough. A very pleasant, easy and flat walk. Good facilities (range, pro shop, clubhouse, etc.) and decent food. All in all, enjoyable. Will definitely return.

A fairly new course, with growing trees that will become more challenging with time. Could do with some anti-clover killer placed in the semi-rough as you tend to loose a lot of glof balls due to the thick clover here. I suppose if you were good you would easily keep on the fairway though!
